Information and Communication Technology

In the 1970s, the term “information technology” evolved. Information and

Communication Technologies (ICT) are defined as a diverse set of technological
tools and resources used to transmit, store, create, share, or exchange
information. It is also extensional term for information technology that stresses
the role of unified communications and the integration of telecommunications and
computers.

In the 21st Century, Information and Communication Technology is

described as the whole range of processes involved in the generation, storage,
transmission, retrieval, and processing of information. It helps break down the
walls of time, distance, and speed in the educational setting. ICT has infiltrated
every aspect of life, allowing individuals to interact, network, seek assistance,
access services, and study in new, better, and faster ways. In addition to its
pervasive presence, the Internet (ICT) has a significant economic influence. ICT
incorporates electronic technologies and techniques used to manage information
and knowledge, including information-handling tools used to produce, store,
process, distribute, and exchange information. Information and Communication
Technology is also the fastest-growing source of business and graphic services.
Different companies are using ICT as their primary source for new products and
customers. AI-generated data makes different applications and projects easier
and more time-efficient.

Information and Communication Technology impacts and advances the

skills that we can attain by learning this technology. Additionally, Information and
Communication Technologies create breakthrough opportunities for us. It creates
jobs and studies to further expand our knowledge.
