impactados y orgullosos de este lugar turístico , aqui también se traía
la fibra de algodón se trenzaban , se limpiaba , se hilaba y se
empaquetaba para extraerlo ya que habia existido el boom del
algodón tangui y también hacían el Pisco

The Ruins of Chongos are located within the
district of Tupac Amaru Inca of the province of

Las Ruinas de Chongos están ubicadas dentro del
distrito de Tupac Amaru Inca de la provincia de Pisco, a
unos 4 kilómetros de su capital, junto al rio Pisco
Es una ciudadela enterrada en el desierto, se cree que fue
la capital de la cultura Paracas, en la superficie se pueden
apreciar restos de castillos piramidales de tapias que
pertenecen a la cultura Chincha, pero debajo se pueden
encontrar residuos de las culturas Paracas – Nazca –
Chincha incluso Inca.
En el lugar se encontraron recintos de piedra que
servían de almacén anteriormente durante la época
PRE-INCA, los cuales tienen aproximadamente 1800
años de antigüedad.

La edificación realizada en el distrito pisqueño de
Túpac Amaru Inca ,proyecto turístico “Mirador San
Carlos de Túpac Amaru Inca” ubicado en el cerro
mas alto del distrito del mismo nombre. Recibe
cantidad de visitantes nacionales y extranjeros
quienes visitan este atractivo turístico. En su
primera etapa de construcción se construyeron sus
escaleras y en su segunda etapa se avanzo con la
cima del cerro desde donde se puede apreciar los
cuatro puntos cardinales de la provincia de Pisco.
Como un elemento adicional se instalo un cristo
blanco y también se realizo la construcción de un
senderó peatonal desde la plaza de armas para que se
permitiera el normal desplazamiento hasta el
mirador.

Las catacumbas datan de la época del virreinato y la esclavitud
pues aquí era donde castigaban a los esclavos negros y chinos
traído para las labores de campos hace unos años atrás se podía
observar las esposas y grilletes de un grueso metal que colgaba
del techo así mismo también estaban los tablones donde
azotan a los esclavos esos catacumbas conectaban con una red
de túneles a todo el valle de pisco
Se dicen que las catacumbas de caucato son una amplia red de
tuneles subterraneos que funcionan como osarios .Existe una
leyenda que es deo viejo monje en donde se dice que producto
de la santa inquisicion muchas almas penan al interior de las
catacumbas debido a que estas personas en vida antes de morir
fueron torturados cruelmente hasta alcanzar la muerte como
forma de castigo en donde hasta ahora sus almas siguen
dianvulando por el lugar.
