Tips in writing the CONCEPT PAPER.

1. Start with a topic sentence; it could be a statement quoted directly from an author or a paraphrased one. Then your
discussion should evolve from the idea given by the topic sentence. Be sure that the topic sentence will synthesize the
CONCEPT PAPER of the whole document.
2. You may also start with your own paragraph; however, claims should be supported with the citation of credible
authors.
3. Cite the reasons why you have chosen the topic of your study. Mention the problematic situation which prompted you
to conduct the study from the macro to micro levels, that is, globally, nationally, regionally, and locally, to “zero-in” the
local setting of the study.
4. Support your discussion with legal basis relevant to your study.
5. Pertinent statistical data should support your claims.
6. Make your presentation of the reasons emphatic and explosive. It should create an impact on the reader of your
research. It should push your reader to go on and find out what good is there in your research study.

1. References should always be presented in APA 7th Ed format.
2. Paper Size: LETTER / Font: Arial Font Size 11, 1.5 Spacing
3. Observe the pyramid style of writing from General to more specific and from a Larger Scope to the Local Setting.
