14/08/2023, 20:40 LSE for You - Candidate Number and Exam Timetable

This is your IRDAP 2023 personal exam timetable.

You must take a clean and unannotated printed copy of this timetable with you to all your exams. You should place this timetable, with your LSE
student ID card, at the top right of your desk to allow the invigilators to check during the exam.

You must ensure that this printout has no additional notes written or printed on it as this may result in an allegation of academic
misconduct being made against you. You must not write on this timetable during your exams.

Your candidate number is shown in the box below. You must write this number on the front of each of your answer booklets before the end of the
exam. Please note, this is not the same as the student number which is on your LSE ID card. If you do not have a candidate number, please contact
the Exams team through this enquiry form .

** The syllabus year indicates the year in which you received teaching for this course. You will be given an exam paper suitable for this year. You
must check this information carefully and inform the Exams team through this enquiry form immediately of any inaccuracies, particularly if you have
deferred or are re-sitting any exams.

*** If your room appears as 'ONLINE' this will be an online take home assessment run by the teaching department. If you believe your assessment
should be an in-person exam, please get in contact with the teaching department.

Central Exam Adjustments (CEAs)

If CEAs have been granted the room listed above will show as 'CEA'. Details of where you sit your exam(s) will be available online, five calendar
days in advance of your exam, here . Details will also be available on the pink lists in the Student Services Centre on the morning of the exam.
Please ignore any room numbers which are shown above for exams where you know you have CEAs. Further information regarding Central Exam
Adjustments is available online . For information relating to CEAs in e-Exams please see section 8.4 of the Exam Procedures for Candidates .

Course Changes and Resit and Deferred Exams

If the details above do not correspond with the courses you are enrolled on this academic year, please contact the Exams team through this enquiry
form as soon as possible. If you are expecting to take any resit or deferred exams this academic year and the details above do not correspond with
the exams you expect to be sitting, please also get in contact as soon as possible.

You must ensure your timetable correctly reflects the exams that you intend to attempt and are required to attempt in order to satisfy the
requirements for your programme. If an exam is missing or if an exam is appearing in your timetable when you don't think it should be, you must
contact the Exams team as soon as possible. Failure to take action now could impact on your eligibility for an award. Please note that if you
defer an exam, it may still appear on your personal LSE for You exam timetable. However, the deferral confirmation email you will have received
serves as confirmation that your entry to the paper(s) has been removed, you do not need to contact the Exams Team in this case.

Fit to sit policy

LSE has a fit to sit/fit to submit policy - when you attempt any summative assessment, you are declaring yourself fit to complete it. Equally, when you
enter an exam room you are declaring yourself fit to attempt the exam. "Fit" in this instance does not only apply just to physical or mental health, but
other factors which may affect your academic performance. You need to decide if you are fit and able to sit/submit and if you're not, you should follow
the deferral procedure .

Deferring

If you find yourself in a situation where you are not able to attempt or complete an assessment, or obtain a suitable extension (where applicable) ,
you should request a deferral . You will need to complete a deferral request form with a reason for your request and include evidence, in line with the
School's Standards of Evidence Policy that corroborates your statement. You must make a deferral request in advance of the exam or assessment
deadline.

Please note, if you have a visa to study in the UK, deferring your assessments may have implications and you should read the information here
before you defer. If, having read the FAQs on the page, you have any further queries regarding your options and obligations, you must discuss your
situation with the Student Advice and Engagement Team as soon as possible.

Exceptional Circumstances

If you have experienced disruption to your studies, e.g. illness/injury, personal difficulties, prior to the exam you must think carefully about whether
you should attempt the exam or whether you should discuss deferring the exam with your academic department. If you have taken an
exam/assessment and you feel that your performance was significantly and negatively affected by circumstances that are sudden, unforeseen and
out of your control, you must submit an Exceptional Circumstances Form and corroborating evidence in line with the School's Standards of Evidence
Policy so that these circumstances can be carefully considered by the appropriate Exam Boards. If you are absent from an exam because of
unforeseen circumstances, and you have not been given prior permission to defer, you must follow the Exceptional Circumstances Procedure and
ensure you submit by the stated deadline.

Overseas Sittings
If you have been granted exceptional permission to sit your exams overseas, you should contact the approved overseas exam centre as soon as
possible to confirm the local arrangements.

Calculators
You may only use a calculator in an exam if this is permitted by the relevant academic department. The only permitted calculators are the Casio fx-
83 and Casio fx-85 ranges - these are available in the Students' Union shop. Calculators from any other ranges will be confiscated and a
replacement calculator cannot be guaranteed.

Academic Integrity

You must ensure you are aware of all School and Department rules for submitting assessments and sitting exams. Information about the School's
Assessment Misconduct Regulations, what constitutes an assessment offence and what is expected of you can be found here . There are various
sources of support for you when writing your assessments .

Remember, all the work you submit either on-line or sat in person must be your own. Each submission of academic work will be closely scrutinised.
Not only does the School employ text-matching software, but Departments will also hold interviews with students suspected of any form of cheating.

Submitting assessment questions to 'homework assistance' websites to get help answering them, viewing answers to LSE assessments posted on
these sites, or seeking help from 'essay-mill' or 'ghostwriting' websites (the use of which is illegal in England) is not permitted. The use of AI tools to
help with any part of your assessment is strictly prohibited unless some use is permitted as defined by the Department responsible for the
assessment. If you breach the school's regulations, you are at risk of expulsion from the School. As part of our academic integrity checks we can in
some instances legally obtain the identity of LSE students who have accessed these homework assistance websites.

If there is a suspicion that you have breached the School's disciplinary regulations , or Assessment Misconduct Regulations by engaging in
dishonest behaviour we will take every measure to pursue a formal allegation against you. Any formal allegation made against you could delay the
publication of your results until the situation is resolved, which in turn may delay when you are awarded your degree.

e-Exams

e-Exams take place in-person and under invigilated exam conditions, the same way that they are for handwritten exams. Instead of completing your
answers on a paper script, you will use your own personal device to type your answers and submit electronically. The following departments have
some e-Exam enabled courses in the IRDAP 2023 exam period: Anthropology, Economic History, Geography and Environment, Health Policy,
International History, Language Centre, Law and Sociology. For more information, please see this webpage .

Sitting an e-Exam with Central Exam Adjustments (CEAs)

If you currently have CEAs, your adjustments such as extra writing time or rest breaks still apply. If your CEAs include use of a PC, your exam will
take place in a PC room and you will have the option to use Digiexam on your own device or Microsoft Word on an LSE PC (which is not connected
to the network). Like all students, you also have the option to handwrite your exam. If your CEAs include a Letter of Notification (LoN), the
department will be informed of this so they can take it into account when marking your e-Exams. If you need additional equipment (such as a specific
keyboard or mouse) due to having a documented medical, physical or mental health condition and/or a Specific Learning Difficulty, you must ensure
these are formally included as part of your adjustments, please contact the Disability & Wellbeing Service (DWS) . If you currently have CEAs that
you believe may need to be updated or you need to apply for CEAs, please contact DWS for guidance and support. The deadline to apply for Long
Term CEAs for the IRDAP 2023 exam period was Friday 21 July 2023. If you did not request an update to your CEAs by the deadline and you
believe you will need these for your IRDAP exams, please apply for short term CEAs at least seven calendar days before your first exam.

You must not write on this timetable before or during your exams.
