Introduction
Next, the importance of occupational medicine is covered, complying with the legal
norms applicable to all economic activities in the Colombian sector. According to article
4 of Law 1562 of 2012, an occupational disease is one contracted because of exposure to
risk factors inherent to the work activity or the environment in which the worker has been
forced to work.
However, Decree 1072 of 2015 makes employers responsible for carrying out group or
individual BIOPSYCHOSOCIAL Wellness activities to the working population, starting
each of the Hazards and Risks to which each employee is exposed.
However, it is the responsibility of workers to ensure their self-care.
