- the manager left his company and went to his rival company for a better pay. 2. State the negative facts of the case - It affected his old company as the majority of its customers went to the rival company where the manager is currently working. 3. What is the CORE issue of the case - The core issue of this case is that shortly after the manager left, the company hasn’t been able to generate enough sales due to the fact that the customers that used to go to the company have lessened. 4. What are your analysis of the case. - My analysis of this case is that the ex-employee from the company is taking customers and is bringing them to the rival company which the very result is that the company is losing customers. 5. Your preferred Management Style - 6. State your course of actions if you happen to be the Owner of the Hotel. - If I were to be the owner of the hotel and I see my ex- employee manager getting customers from our company, First I would not react in any negative way but to grasp the idea of how and why he is doing it. It could be that the ex-manager was taking their contact information from the front office department or he/she is a direct contact. Strategy I would imply is to provide better services and coupons for discounts. In this way, potential customers are likely attracted to what the hotel offers and that can be marketed by word of mouth by their experiences towards what they felt about what my company offers. Just like the ex-manager, I will keep in touch with customers as well so they would feel like they have a direct connection with the owner and that gives a better sense of security and and trustworthiness because not all people can have a connection with the owners of a company.
