HUMANITIES REFLECTION PAPER

This is probably the challenging question for many of us, what are humanities? Every people

have different answers to that question; it may be from their experience, or they are answering

from what they feel or who they are. The word humanities sound complicated, but it simply

describes who we are and helps us realize the meaning and beauty of our lives.

From what I understand in the video, once we start to know ourselves, we aim to know deeper

by understanding other people’s situations and their interests. The more you learn from

something and someone, the more you know yourself and the people around you. Better

communication is by understanding everyone’s language; language is a kind of humanities. It

builds us and brings us together. Every knowledge and experience that you learn will make

you humane.

In every place with people, you will find humanities; you can find it in history, the museum,

or even in art; just like art, it describes a person’s feelings, emotions, and interests. It’s a

subconscious of who you are. You can learn from every person you encounter, and it helps

you better understand what people make and why. Answering the question; of what makes us

human is simply about understanding who we are and the world we’re making together.
