Blackboard and Communication:

Blackboard is the (LMS) Learning Management System used to deliver this course. It is the key tool used to
communicate with you and where you will find lesson/course documents and information. Learning materials
will be posted to Blackboard before class time.

I may also reach out to individuals using the Georgian College email system. Please use your Georgian College
emails in your communication with me. Personal emails can end up in my email junk folder.

You should regularly check your student email and Blackboard, particularly before our class time for final class
information. Failure to do so may result in missed information that can limit your potential for success.

I respond to emails Monday to Friday, 8am – 4pm and occasionally on weekends.

Course Evaluation:
Assignment instructions, some walk-through videos and rubrics are posted to Blackboard for reference. We
will review assignments in class two weeks before the due date. Please review assignment information
carefully, to ensure you are eligible for full marks on each assignment, and early, so any questions can be
addressed in time for the due date.
Assignment Extension Requests:
Any assignment not submitted by the required date and time shall receive a grade of zero in accordance with
Georgian College Policies and Procedures. If you have concerns about your ability to complete an assignment
on time let me know as far IN ADVANCE as possible.

This policy is meant to add flexibility but should not be abused. I reserve the right to decline an extension.
Extensions are not permitted on Tests or in-person presentations. If these are missed, proper medical or other
documentation is required to make up the assessment, per Georgian College policy.

Academic Integrity:
Academic integrity is a core value at Georgian College and a priority in all academic activities. Students are
responsible for being aware of and demonstrating behaviour that is honest and ethical. Students are also
