What is Covid-19?
Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a
contagious disease caused by severe acute
respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2).
The first case was identified in Wuhan, China, in
December 2019. It has since spread worldwide,
leading to an ongoing pandemic. Most people
infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience
mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover
without requiring special treatment. Older people,
and those with underlying medical problems like
cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory
disease, and cancer are more likely to develop
serious illness. A new strain of coronavirus is
discovered in Britain. It is said to mutate faster than
the older variant.

Covid-19 in India
The first case of COVID-19 in India, which
originated from China, was reported on 30
January 2020. India currently has the largest
number of confirmed cases in Asia and has the
second-highest number of confirmed cases in
the world after the United States.
On 24 March, the prime minister ordered a
nationwide lockdown for 21 days, affecting the
entire 1.3 billion population of India. On 14
April, India extended the nationwide lockdown
till 3 May which was followed by twoweek
extensions.
From 1 June, the government started
"unlocking" the country (barring "containment
zones") in three unlock phases

Conclusion

By visualizing data in the form of bar and

line graphs we can easily analyze that the
states Worsley affected due to Covid-19 are
states with dense population and least
affected are not so densely populated. The
worst affected age group is 61 to 70 as there
are More deaths caused in this group due to
Covid-19. We can also clearly see that in
every age group there is more deaths
caused in males than in females. We are
also able to see that India stands at third
position in global testing of coronavirus
with more than 15.6 crores sample already
tested.
