Article Presentation (12.5% - Group)

Each group will present one assigned article to the class. Articles will be sent out by the
instructor during week 5. The presentation should be a summary of key points that the article is
trying to convey, and one example not present in the article itself. Each group should create a
PPT, and the presentation should be 15 minutes long (10 minutes for the summary of key
points, and 5 minutes to present the example). Each group member should present for an equal
amount of time. It is up to each student to find and read the article.

More information, marking rubric, etc. will be available in future classes.

Fall 2023
Group Project: Marketing Invention – Report and Presentation (32% - Group)

Use the description of this assignment to create an outline for the paper. Include an
introductory and concluding paragraph, and title page.

This assignment will be done in groups. An “invention” here is a truly unique and
innovative approach to one element of the marketing mix. Each group will select a particular
real-world business, decide what the 4 P’s are for that business, then radically change one of
those P’s. Have fun with this and get as radical as you can! Thus, it could mean a radically new
approach to pricing (for example, a bowling alley charging customers based on how many pins
they knock down) or a totally different product (for example, an auto repair shop that offers
do-it-yourself work areas where you pay for mechanical advice as needed).

More Details will be given in class.

Mid-Term and Final Exams (20% and 20% - Individual)

There will be one mid-term and one final exam, all of which will be given during class
(in-person). Exam content will be pulled from the assigned textbook, class teachings, course
readings, and case studies. The exams may consist of a combination of (a) Multiple Choice; (b)
True or False; and/or (c) Short Response Questions and (d) Case Analyses.

Moodle/On-Line Learning Resource
