NATURALISTIC OBSERVATION

Naturalistic observation involves observing subjects of interest in their normal, everyday

setting. It is sometimes referred to as field work because it requires researchers to go out into
the field (the natural setting) to collect data on their participants. For now I observed a student
on her natural environment. What she can? What is her behavior and attitude while she is the
natural environment.

As of september 01, 2022 today, Maria Rissa checked her cellphone after she wake-up if have a
important message, calls and other things she need to do this day. When she wake-up she not
get up already cause she have no classes but her teachers send a lot of assignments/ activities
need to do for this week. While she is in her bed she is busy watching videos in her phone
spending her more time to watch her favorite K-pop .

Then, exactly 6:30 am in the morning she get up already to do her daily routine. She prepare to
cook her food before I forget she is already independent cause she is already in college and
have boarding house that why she need to do all works by her own. After eating and cleaning
everything she used for cooking she prepare for bath.

When I observing Maria Rissa, she is quickly get irritated when someone is disturbing her at the
middle of doing her homework, she not focused on the things she did if there environment is
noisy. She cannot talk you back if you asking her cause she focused on what she is doing. On the
other people, she not easy to talked to you unless you are first do move to communicate with
her. I observed also on her that she polite, when someone asking her help she not ignore them
she respond them politely.
In the classroom, Maria Rissa is quite type of person, she cannot say hi or hello with you
because she shy type of person also. As I observing for those students in the classroom in the
first day of school it is natural that they are feel uncomfortable with each other. I can also
noticed that she is quickly feel nervous if someone get joking her intentionally, she hate that
person who has fooled in the means of joke.
