TCS INTERVIEW ON 1 OCTOBER 2011 IN HINDUSTAN COLLEGE OF SCIENCE & TECHNOLIGY

1-ABOUT APTITUDE TEST written test questions are once again repeated as usual.i think almost 60% questions are as same as they ask in previous college rest 40% new but the pattern is as same. The new thing is only the paragraph on which they ask about 4-6 questions. This paragraph is not that easy but the time is quite enough so one can even do that just by devoting time and concentraton.one more thing they dont display the marks distribution I think that may possible that marks distribution is not equally distributed. I also found that those who attend the paragraph they just cleared the aptitude test.the written cut off is about 70%.

2-interview rounds Initially the tcs team announced that there will be three interview round (technical,MR,HR),but they just take two interview round. In first round they merged TECHNICAL/MR while the second round is about HR. 3-interviewing panel There are 15 interviewing panel for interview. 4-technical interview for electronics branches (EC/EI/EE) Most of the technical interviews questions are about the summer training and the final year project.i suggest that before going for the interview study the following; About the basic conceptual working of final year project 1-about the sensors (name and type thats enough) 2-step wise working of project 3-application of project 4-justified reason for ur project name 5-ur role in project(on which part u r working in ur project) 6-about controller(microcontroller/plc/lab view) No need to take care of the circuit detail or the ic detail they r not going to ask about that deep. About the summer training;

1-about ur training field and what u seen there 2-about the technology which u hav seen there(PLS/VLSI/WIFI/etc..)

5-Some Technical Questions just give the logic of the c programming if u dont know the exect program in c.they just need the logic like how u solve the problem in c programming (like by dividing th digit by 10 and using the remender etc). 1-what is ur project? 2-what is the application of ur project? 3-explain me ur project? 4-whai is ur role in ur project? 5-what if,ur project fail before 5 days of submission or u cod not complete it within time?. 6-tell me about ur summer training? 7-tell me about the technology u seen in ur training? 8-what is PLC? 9-what is motor action? 10-what is generator action? 13-what are principle behind generator action? 14-what is close loop and open loop? 15-what is feed back controller? 16-what is P/PI/PID controller? 17-what is flip flop? 18-explain SR,D,T,JK FLIPFLOP? 19-what is the advantages of JK OVER SR? 20-change JK into SR or SR into JK? 21-what is D flip flop? 22-give the application of D flipflop? 23-some questions are about the basics of matrices. 24-reverse the number using c? 25-print 123 in reverse using c? 26-print 12345 in reverse using c? 27-explain loop functioning in c? 28-what is hydra files? 29-whai is the use of include/studio in c? 30-what is the difference in microprosser and controller? 31-application of microcontroller? 32-which microcontroller u r using in ur project? 33-give me the specification of microcontroller u r using in ur project? 34-what are the addressing modes? 35-explain all addressing modes? 36-what is an interrupt? 37-what microcontroller do when it get an interrupt commend? 38-what is program status words 39-use of program status words? 40-what is networking? 41-what is LAN/WAN? 42-WHAT IS OPTICAL FIBre?

44-what are the layers of optical fibres? 45-applications of optical fibres? 46-what is orbital motion of satellite? 47-tell me ur favriout subjects? 48-what is mosfet? 47-what is transistor? 48-what is the use of zenner diode? 49-what is transformer? 50- what is relay?

6-Some HR questions 1-who is the role model in ur life? 2-what else u have which u have not mention in ur resume? 3-what is the role of manager and team leader? 4-what is the difference in team leader and manager? 5-what u will do if 5 members out of 20 of ur team refuse to work on project and other are complaining u about that and asking u that why they do work when five of them are just sitting on bench and u just hav no support from outside. 6-wat u do if u r in a middle of a sea and sitting in a boat with ur mother and father now that boat is about to sink and u can only save one of them then whome u will save and why? 7-tell me who u r? 8-why u waana join this company? 9-what u know about this company ? 10-why I should recruit u? 11-what is ur hobby 12-if painting, do something on paper? 13-what car u will buy if I give u 300000? 14-wat if I give u 600000? 15-which car u will buy and why u buy that one? 16-do u smoke swear to god? 17-do u drink swear to god? 18-why there is a decay or rise in ur % marks from 10th to b.tech. 19-do u join this company if we place u at trivendurum? 20-r u willing to place any where in india? 21-what if we place u so far from ur home? 22-dont u think u should do job closer to ur home town 23-how far is ur home from this plac? 24-tell me about ur these three years in this college? 25-what is back door entry in company? 26-what is the process of back door entry verification?
