Latency period in child development is a stage that occurs between the ages of six

and 11 years when children begin to develop social, emotional and cognitive skills.
During this time, children become more self-aware and start to understand their place in
society. They begin to form friendships, learn new skills, and assume personal
responsibilities. The latency period is characterized by a focus on the outside world and
a decrease in sexual impulses. This period is an essential stage in a child's
development, and an appropriate tutoring and feeding program can contribute
significantly to their overall growth. But, how does tutoring and feeding program
contributes to the development of latency children? What are there different roles for the
development of child?

Latency children, typically aged 6 to 12 years old, they usually engage in various
activities such as playing, learning, exploring, and creating. These activities require
physical, cognitive, and emotional support from adults to foster their development. A
tutor and feeding program such as "Pag-amuma" can provide latency children with
academic support, guidance, and encouragement to help them improve their learning
and build self-confidence. The feeding component of the program can ensure that the
children are receiving proper nutrition, which is essential for their growth and
development. By addressing both academic and nutritional needs, "Pag-amuma" can
create a safe and nurturing environment that can support latency children's overall well-
being. Through consistent and holistic care, we can help latency children reach their full
potential and prepare them for success in the future.

In fact, tutoring can help latency children by providing personalized attention and
support. It can also help them to catch up on missed learning opportunities and improve
their academic skills. Additionally, tutoring can boost their confidence and motivation,
which can have a positive impact on their overall development. Furthermore, tutoring
can provide a safe and nurturing environment for the children, which can help to
improve their social and emotional well-being. Finally, coupling the tutoring program
with a feeding program can address nutritional deficiencies, which can improve the
children's cognitive development and overall health.

Couple with, feeding programs can play a crucial role in the development of
undernourished or malnourished children, especially those who are experiencing
developmental delays on latency period. When children are malnourished, their bodies
are lacking in essential nutrients that are required for proper development. This can lead
to a variety of physical and cognitive issues, including stunted growth, weakened
immune systems, and delays in cognitive and motor development. Feeding programs
aim to address these issues by providing children with the nutrients they need to
support their physical and cognitive growth. These programs typically provide a
balanced diet that includes a variety of foods, such as fruits, vegetables, grains, and
proteins. In addition, they may also provide supplements or fortified foods that are
specifically designed to address nutrient deficiencies that are common in
undernourished or malnourished children.

Moreover, we as a person who is elder than them, we held a great responsibility on

moulding their future. Latency period certainly needs some nurture and guidance, and
we should serve as a light or an avenue through their success. In addition, the NSTP-
MATH 1AC are aiming to aid, help, and nurture the latency children in the Municipality
of Dujali. Through the tutoring and feeding program, the team are giving a promise to
make the life of the latency children improve and develop to the mentioned municipality.
The team will work firmly and harder to lend arms as an assistance to them. Also, the
team believe that through the proper nurturing of latency children we can change the
future awaiting ahead of us.
