Introduction
In this essay I took on the task of choosing child malnutrition as the main topic to
inform and educate the population about this great problem that is experienced
worldwide. Child malnutrition is the result of insufficient food intake in addition to
poor medical care and the development of diseases.

Title: Child malnutrition

The lack of a sufficient, varied and nutritious diet is associated with more than half
of cases of child malnutrition worldwide. Food and caloric intake are very important
in the first years of life; This is because good nutrition is vital to the growth and
development of children (Nutrición y crecimiento, s. f.). When they are malnourished,
they are more likely to die from disease and be stunted for the rest of their lives. It is
very important to recognize that there are factors that mark the process of
malnutrition in infants, there are many cases of child malnutrition due to economic,
social, and psychological factors, however, the economy is one of the main ones.

Poverty and malnutrition are two central problems in the country. The economy is an
important factor for children to have a good development in terms of food, it is widely
seen that there are different socioeconomic levels in countries, states, cities around
the world. Poverty is being taken and characterized as the main factor of malnutrition
in urban areas. Due to the poverty that exists, there is a very specific case that is
food and its access limit for low-income people.

A person is food insecure when they lack regular access to enough safe and
nutritious food for normal growth and development and to lead an active and healthy
life. This may be due to the lack of availability of food and/or the lack of resources to
obtain it. That is why the lack of economic resources is an important factor for a good
diet and as a consequence causes cases to be valued on a scale of food insecurity.

Conclusion
Malnutrition is a lack of calories or one or more essential nutrients. It can develop if
you cannot get or prepare food, if you have a disorder that makes eating or absorbing
food difficult, or if your need for calories is greatly increased. As we have already
read, there are different factors that mark this aspect, but there is one that always
stands out more than others and in this case it is the poverty that exists in the
countries. To treat child malnutrition, we should first combat poverty, food insecurity
and the lack of access to the necessary food in the families of the world, give them
alternatives, better economic income and talks about how children should be fed for
good growth and physical, social and psychological development.
