ADMINISTRATIVE INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE INTERNATIONAL COUNTER -

TERRORISM PUBLIC SPACES SEMINAR TO BE HELD IN ACCRA FROM 15 TO 17
NOVEMBER 2023

GENERAL

1. The Ministry of National Security and the Government of Ghana with funding support by
the European Union and the Spanish government will organize a 3-day seminar on Counter-
Terrorism Public Space seminar in Accra. The seminar is part of the closing activities for the
Counter-Terrorism Public Space project.

AIM

2. The aim of these instructions is to outline the conduct and administrative arrangements
for the seminar.

TRAVEL TO ACCRA

3. Participants travelling to Ghana (Accra) will need a visa apart from those entitled to visa
weaver. Kindly check if you qualify for visa weaver. Please check and ensure that your
vaccination card (all types including COVID ) is up to date. All participants travelling from
outside Accra must arrive on 14 November 2023.

TRANSPORT

4. Transport will be arranged to pick international participant at the Kotoka International

Airport. Local participant should make their own transport arrangement to their hotels. Cost of
transport will be reimbursed. Transport will be available to pick participants to the venue of the
seminar and back each day.

ACCOMMODATION

5. Participant will be accommodated at the …………………………… hotels. However,

local participants whose official workplace is Accra will not be accommodated.

VENUE

6. The venue for the conference will be at ………………………….

FEEDING
7. Participants who will be accommodated at hotels will take breakfast and dinner at the
hotels. However, lunch will be taken at the venue of the seminar.

SECURITY

8. The security in Accra is relatively good . Participants will be responsible for their own
security. The Ghana Police Service will be responsible for the security of the venue of the
seminar. However, there will detailed security briefing for participants at their hotels.

MEDICAL

9. Participants who are on medication are encouraged to carry their drugs. However, in case
of medical emergency contact the hotel reception or the seminar contact persons.

DRESS

10. The dress for the seminar is smart formal. All participants who belong to the security
services will wear normal working uniform.

LANGUAGE

11. The language for the seminar will be English.

COCKTAIL

12. There will be a cocktail at the venue of the seminar on 14 November 2023 at 1900 hours.
All participants are invited.
