USES OF INDEFINITE ARTICLE

 To suggest the sense of “one”.

 100 meters make a kilometer.
 The person has brought a suitcase with him.

 In sense of each/every/per.

 We are going 60 miles an hour.
 You have to take this medicine twice a day.
 In exclamatory sentences , before a singular countable noun.

 Before a proper noun in sense of “any” or “some”.

used if they are being specified in any way.

 The inner and outer walls of this container are made of different materials.

“THE” is always used before : movie, theatre, cinema, office, picture, circus,
station, bus-stop etc.
