PRESENT SIMPLE TENSE THE VERB "TO BE" (Part 1)

FORM:
Affirmative (Dạng Khẳng định)
Example:
+ I am happy.

+ We are happy.
+ You are happy.
+ They are happy.

+ He is happy.
+ She is happy.
+ It is happy.

SHORT FORM (Dạng Rút gọn)

It is natural to use short forms of the verb "to be" in spoken and informal
English.
(Trong văn nói tiếng Anh, "to be" thường được sử dụng ở dạng rút gọn)
+ I am = I'm
+ We are = We're
+ You are = You're
+ They are = They're
+ He is = He's
+ She is = She's
+ It is = It's

USE:
We use the verb "to be" to talk about:
Chúng ta sử dụng động từ "to be" để nói về":
+ name (tên): My name is Mia. He is Minh.
+ age (tuổi): I am 27 years old. My brother is 30 years old.
+ jobs (nghề nghiệp): He is a chef. She is a teacher.
+ feelings and states (cảm xúc và trạng thái): I am happy. They are
friendly and cute.
+ the time (thời gian): It's 7 o'clock.
+ colors (màu sắc): Her hair is blonde.
+ prices (giá tiền): The dress is 800,000 VND.
+ nationalities (quốc tịch) Mia is American. Minh is Vietnamese.
