PRESENT SIMPLE TENSE

We use the present simple to talk about things in general. We use it to say that something
happens all the time or repeatedly/ or that something is true in general or fact.

0 The earth goes round the sun. (trái đất quay quanh mặt trời)

Note:

 Khi chủ ngữ là: I, We, You, They => Ta mượn trợ động từ “Do” đứng trước chủ ngữ.
 Khi chủ ngữ là: He, She, It => Ta mượn trợ động từ “Does” đứng trước chủ ngữ.
 Động từ chính trong câu giữ ở dạng NGUYÊN THỂ.

-Thêm s vào đằng sau hầu hết động từ: Live – Lives, Work – Works

-Thêm es sau -ch, -sh, -s, -x, -o, -z: Watch – Watches , Finish – Finishes, Go – Goes,

buzz -> buzzes

-Nếu trước “y” là nguyên âm (a, e, i, o, u) => giữ nguyên “y” thêm “s”: play-> plays

-Nếu trước “y” là một phụ âm => đổi “y” thành “i” thêm “es”: : Study – Studies
-Động từ bất quy tắc : have – has
