Spelling Rules REMEMBER to add -s / -es / -ies in the 3rd

In the 3rd person singular:
→ Verbs ending in -o / -ss / -ch / -sh / -x, take -es.
goes / misses / watches / washes / relaxes
→ Verbs ending in consonant + -y, take -ies.
tries / flies BUT plays / says
person singular BUT drop it in questions and
negatives.
e.g. Kate plays the guitar every day.
