Although, academic and non-academic writing are both methods of writing English essays, there is a
different in writing process. In academic writing, a writer normal focuses on specific subject or topic,
whereas in non-academic writing a writer can write in general. The second difference is that,
academic writing always consider formal writing but non-academic writing mostly uses informal
languages for example slangs and contrasts just to name some. An academic writers, they should
always use references or citation to indicate that the work or ideas are not for individual, while in non-
academic, a writer can act as the owner of the work, no references, Academic writing should always
well structured, accurate, clear and concise and include research. In non-academic, in contrast, the
writer can uses own knowledge or without making research. Non-academic writing not always
structured sentences. Academic writing also should not be written in first or second person, for
example, I, he, we and many more, it only require a third person. Therefore, we should always
consider the contrast between these two, though they are all English writing methods.
