Evo X Fender Trim Removal & Installation of Rexpeed Carbon fiber Trim

Fitment Quality: 5 out of 5

Weave Quality: 5 out of 5

Installation Difficulty: 2 out of 5, just be patient with the screws behind the trim piece.

Time Needed: 1 hour

Tools Needed:

• Flap Head Screw Driver

• Wrench Screw Driver
• Ratchet with 7mm Socket
• Gloves (For the people that don’t like to get dirty)
• Alcohol
• Clean Rag
Step 1:

Turn the wheel all the way. You do not need to remove the front wheels if you have a wrench screw driver. If you don’t
have a wrench screw driver, stop reading this and go buy one at Sears. It will be the best $7.00 you’ve spend in a long
time.
Step 2:

Pop the 4 push clips holding the inner fender plastic with a flat head screw driver. Remove the plastic screw on the front
of the plastic. Remove the bottom screw holding the mud flap in place. Once you remove the mud flaps and all the clips
and screws, pull out the inner fender plastic to gain access to the inner fender.
Step 3:

Once you have access to the inner fender, use the wrench screw driver to remove the 5 screws holding the stock plastic
piece. You will need to use a small size Phillips to get the screws since they are small screws. Once you remove them,
push the 4 tabs to release the trim piece. Then pull gently. These pieces are also held with double sided 3m tape so you
have to pull somewhat hard, not too hard since the fenders are aluminum and will easily bend.
Step 4:

Once you remove the plastic piece clean off any leftover double sided tape with the rag and alcohol. Once the area is
clean and dry, place the carbon fiber pieces in place without taking off the backing of the 3m tape on the carbon fiber
pieces to make sure you see how they will fit. Once you have an idea of how they will look and where they need to go
exactly go ahead and take off the backing of the tape and push them in place. Keep in mind that once they’re on, they
are not coming off easily.
Step 5:

Put everything back the way you took it off and you’re done. Enjoy your awesome looking carbon fiber pieces.
