DEFINITION OF
DREAMS:
Consist of a series of images,
sensations, thoughts, and emotions
experienced during sleep.
Often have a narrative structure,
creating a story-like experience.
Can encompass both ordinary and
extraordinary scenarios.
STAGES OF
SLEEP:
Dreams primarily occur during the
Rapid Eye Movement (REM) stage of
sleep.
REM sleep is characterized by rapid
eye movements
The sleep cycle alternates between
REM and non-REM stages.
REM stages become longer and
more frequent.
