MOTION TO REDUCE BAIL

Accused BRIAN HERNANDEZ, by counsel de oficio, unto

this Honorable Court, respectfully states the following:

1) He was charged with violation of Republic Act No 10833 or the

New Anti-Carnapping Law of 2016, such act was allegedly
committed on January 3, 2020. He is currently detained at
Pasig City Jail.

2) The recommended bail for his felony is fixed at PhP 300,000

(Three Hundred Thousand Pesos).

3) Before his arrest, he only makes a meager living as a

construction worker and his family belongs to the indigent
class; thus, he is constrained to request for a reduction of the
amount of bail; and

4) If granted bail at a reduced amount, the accused promises and

guarantees that he will regularly and punctually attend every
trial of his case until its termination.

WHEREFORE, premises considered, and in the interest of

justice, it is respectfully prayed of this Honorable Court that the
amount of bail for the temporary liberty of accused BRIAN
HERNANDEZ, be reduced to One Hundred Fifty Thousand
Pesos (PhP 150,000) to be paid thru surety bond.
