Rules of Composition applied to film
The rules of composition is the most widely known rule as “the rule of thirds.”
Which is a frame that divides into thirds which creates a grid of thirds. However,
there’s rules of composition to follow for the best shots/films.
1. Rule of Thirds
2. Golden Ratio
3. Leading lines
4. Diagonals
5. Frame within a frame
6. Figure to ground
7. Fill the frame

What is symmetrical balance
Symmetrical balance is where you take a photo in
the middle, and you see where the equal weights
are more equal in the photo also to balance onto
the axis in the centre.
For example, you can see how pathway is in
between the two fences as it's in a symmetrical
balance
It impacts the viewer in how it symmetric and
balanced the photo.

Colour Pop
Before After
I created only the building and the tree
as the front is already darker. I first
started to duplicate the image I'm
working on then I clicked on one of the
duplicates and changed the colours to
black and white. I then used the
polygon lasso tool to trace around the
tree and the building. I then went onto
edit and clicked clear.
I liked how I made half of the
background black and white instead of
using the front, but it would have been
best to use an easier picture so it's easy
to do
Colour change
Before After
I created this photo to a different colour by
using one of my photos which were holding
up the lanyards and then use a polygon lasso
to trace around the lanyards. Then after I
clicked onto image and went on adjustments
and went on hue/saturation and picked what
colour which is a good one.
I’m happy about which colour I chose
because it looks more like a blueish-
purple, but It would’ve been better if I
tried to trace around it more neatly as
possible, so it’s not messed up.
Torn Paper Portrait
I created this torn paper portrait by finding an image to work from and
adding it onto photoshop. Then I duplicated that image and changed
one of them to black and white. I then after downloaded the torn
paper image and dragged it in between the black and white image and
the coloured image. Then I used the magic wand tool and clicked on
the middle part then went onto edit and clicked on clear. After I then
went on the blending mode and went on the multiply.
I’m happy about how I used the blending mode as the edit is more
perfect and goes well within it, but I would improve on moving the
torn paper image into the middle more so it's even.
Forced Perspective Photography
Forced perspective photography is a technique that uses space in between the
subjects to create an interesting or unusual relationship in between. This also
manipulates the perception of the space and the distance between which
creates an optical illusion.
My Review on making a Cap Cut video
I like I can edit videos using different editing type such as cuts and
fades. However, I could try to get some footage around and add some
overlays, but I would like to know how I can use some overlays which
could relate to the topic so it will make more sense. Next time , I would
like to add more footage videos so it’s more perfect to entertain more
viewers, but I will try not to make it long.
