ID-BAR
ID-BAR is a high- quality, drilling-grade barite used to increase the density of drilling fluids. This high-specific-
gravity mineral is the most widely material, has application in all drilling fluid systems and meets all.

Application

ID-BAR material can used to increase the density of drilling fluids up to approximately 22lb/gal and provide the
necessary hydrostatic pressure to balance formation pressure. Powder used in formulating ID-BAR plugs to
control underground kicks and lost circulation.

Advantages

• Essentially chemically inert insoluble, functions only in a physical manner.

• Does not react with other drilling fluid additives or interfere with the function.
• Minimally abrasive.

Toxicity and Handling

Handle as an industrial chemical, wearing protective equipment and observing the precautions as described in
the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).

Packing and Storage

ID-BAR additive is packed in 1.5 MT Big bags or 50 kg HDPE bags.

Store in a dry, well-ventilated area.
