health disorders caused by unhealthy habits:-

1.Smoking:-
smoking, the act of inhaling and exhaling the fumes of burning plant
material. A variety of plant materials are smoked, including marijuana
and hashish, but the act is most commonly associated with tobacco as
smoked in a cigarette, cigar, or pipe. - Smoking causes cancer ,heart
disease, stroke, lung diseases, diabetes, and chronic obstructive
pulmonary disease (COPD), which includes emphysema and chronic
bronchitis. Smoking also increases risk for tuberculosis, certain eye
diseases, and problems of the immune system, including rheumatoid
arthritis. What diseases can be caused by long term smoking?
These include cardiovascular disease, cancer, chronic lung disease
and diabetes.
 Cancer. ...
 Breathing problems and chronic respiratory conditions. ...
 Heart disease, stroke and blood circulation problems. ...
 Diabetes. ...
 Infections. ...
 Dental problems. ...
 Hearing loss. ...
 Vision loss.
 Can smoking be healthy?
 When it comes to cancer prevention, the damaging effects of
smoking can't be reversed by exercise or a healthy diet. There's no
such thing as a healthy smoker - especially when it comes to
cancer prevention.
Lung Cancer:-
Cancer is a disease in which cells in the body grow out of control. When
cancer starts in the lungs, it is called lung cancer. Lung cancer begins
in the lungs and may spread to lymph nodes or other organs in the body,
such as the brain. Cancer from other organs also may spread to the
lungs.
What habits can cause lung cancer?
Risk factors
 Smoking. Your risk of lung cancer increases with the number of
cigarettes you smoke each day and the number of years you have
smoked. ...
 Exposure to second hand smoke. ...
 Previous radiation therapy. ...
 Exposure to radon gas. ...
 Exposure to asbestos and other carcinogens. ...
 Family history of lung cancer.
 What are lung diseases?
 The term lung disease refers to many disorders affecting the
lungs, such as asthma, COPD, infections like influenza,
pneumonia and tuberculosis, lung cancer, and many other
breathing problems. Some lung diseases can lead to respiratory
failure.
What are the top 5 lung diseases?

The most common lung diseases include:

 Asthma.
 Collapse of part or all of the lung (pneumothorax or atelectasis)
 Swelling and inflammation in the main passages (bronchial tubes)
that carry air to the lungs (bronchitis)
 COPD.
 Lung cancer.
 Lung infection (pneumonia)
Lung cancer can cause complications, such as: Shortness of breath.
People with lung cancer can experience shortness of breath if cancer
grows to block the major airways. Lung cancer can also cause fluid to
accumulate around the lungs, making it harder for the affected lung to
expand fully when you inhale.

Emphysema:-
Emphysema is one of the diseases that comprises COPD (chronic
obstructive pulmonary disease). Emphysema develops over time and
involves the gradual damage of lung tissue, specifically the destruction
of the alveoli (tiny air sacs).
What condition can be caused by emphysema?

Most people with emphysema also have chronic bronchitis. Chronic

bronchitis is inflammation of the tubes that carry air to your lungs
(bronchial tubes), which leads to a persistent cough. Emphysema and
chronic bronchitis are two conditions that make up chronic obstructive
pulmonary disease (COPD).
What body systems are affected by emphysema?
Emphysema primarily affects the lungs but can also affect other organs
and systems, including the heart, muscles, and circulatory system, as the
disease progresses.
What is the most common cause of emphysema?
Emphysema is one of the most preventable respiratory illnesses because
it is so strongly linked to smoking. Air pollutants, an alpha-1 antitrypsin
deficiency, and respiratory infections can also play a role, but smoking is
considered the number one cause.
How does emphysema affect the lungs?
Emphysema develops over time and involves the gradual damage of
lung tissue, specifically the destruction of the alveoli (tiny air sacs).
Gradually, this damage causes the air sacs to rupture and create one big
air pocket instead of many small ones.
Chronic Bronchitis:-
What is the definition of chronic bronchitis?
A lung condition that develops over time in which the bronchi (large
air passages that lead to the lungs) become inflamed and scarred. This
causes the bronchi to make large amounts of mucus and can lead to a
chronic cough and breathing problems. The most common cause of
chronic bronchitis is cigarette smoking.
What is a common cause of chronic bronchitis?
Most experts agree that the main cause of chronic bronchitis is cigarette
smoking. Air pollution and your work environment may also play a role.
What is the most common complication of chronic bronchitis?
The major complications of chronic bronchitis are severe shortness of
breath, COPD, respiratory failure, and an increased mortality rate.
Risk factors for chronic bronchitis include smoking, exposure to
airborne chemicals and second hand smoke, dust, and other bronchial
irritants.
What are the effects of chronic bronchitis?
Some people with chronic bronchitis get frequent respiratory infections
such as colds and the flu. In severe cases, chronic bronchitis can
cause weight loss, weakness in your lower muscles, and swelling in
your ankles, feet, or legs.

Passive smoking:-
Is Passive smoking more dangerous than
smoking?
Non smokers who are exposed to second hand smoke are at a 25–30
percent greater risk of heart disease and have a higher risk of stroke.
Also, smoke exposure can make pre existing cases of high blood
pressure worse.
What diseases can be caused by passive smoking?

 Lung cancer. Lung cancer is the #1 cancer killer in the United

States, and second hand smoke is a contributor. ...
 Heart disease. ...
 Sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) ...
 Stroke. ...
 Asthma attacks. ...
 Middle ear disease in kids. ...
 Lower respiratory illness in infants and toddlers. ...
 Low-birth-weight babies.
