MACHINE PRACTISE EXERCISE 1

Use an UNTHREADED machine to sew along the lines.

Straight sewing - L: 2.5, W:0

** HOT TIP** Hand turn the needle down on the corners, raise
pressure foot, turn paper to make a sharp turn.

Use an THREADED machine to sew along the lines.

Challenge 1: Sew a straight line on the outside of the spiral.


Challange 2: Sew a a zigzag stitch along the inside of the spiral.

Straight stitch : L-3, W - 0


Zig Zag stitch : L-3, W - 3
MACHINE PRACTISE EXERCISE 4
REVERSING + LOCK STITCH
Reversing and creating a Lock stitch is
important so that your stitching does not undo. You do
this at the start and finish of each line of sewing.
Old machines - You need to LIFT the length dial UP.
New Machines - Holds the reverse button

Sew forward
for 1 CM.
Reverse for 1
CM.
