1. TECHNOLOGY - A manner of accomplishing a task especially using technical processes, methods, or
knowledge.

2. ICT LITERACY – The information and communication technology (ICT) literacy describes a learner’s
ability to “adopt, adapt and use digital devices, applications and services” (JISC, 2014). This refers to a
learner’s ability to navigate the technical requirements of being an online learner.

3. EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY – Educational Technology is the field of study that investigates the
process of analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating the instructional
environment, learning materials, learners, and the learning process in order to improve teaching and
learning.

4. DIGITAL LITERACY – Digital literacy is the ability to access, manage, understand, integrate,
communicate, evaluate and create information safely and appropriately through digital technologies for
employment, decent jobs and entrepreneurship.

5. DIGITAL LEARNING – Digital Learning is “learning facilitated by technology that gives students some
element of control over time, place, path and/or pace.

6. ON-LINE DIGITAL TOOLS & APPS – Tools and applications that can be downloaded to gather
information and communicate with associates. It is facilitated using internet connectivity like zoom,
google meet, skype. And others for meetings, video conferencing, and online classes.

7. OFF-LINE DIGITAL TOOLS & APPS – These are software applications and tools that could still work and.
Function in the absence of internet connection.

8. INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNOLOGY – Is the theory and practice of using technology for education.
Encompassing the design, development, use, management, and evaluation of technology in education,
instructional technology can take many forms.

9. SOFTWARE – A set of instructions, data or programs used to operate computers and execute specific
tasks.

10. MULTIMEDIA – Multimedia is a system of relaying information or entertainment that includes many
different forms of communication. You might use multimedia to give a presentation at school.

11. INTERNET – Is a vast network that connects computers all over the world. Through the Internet,
people can share information and communicate from anywhere with an Internet connection.
12. WORLD WIDE WEB – The World Wide Web – also known as the web, WWW or W3 – refers to all the
public websites or pages that users can access on their local computers and other devices through the
internet.

13. WEB ACCESS - Is the process of connecting to the internet. Using personal computers, laptops or
mobile devices by users or enterprises.

14. WEBQUEST – Is an inquiry-oriented activity/lesson in which all or most of the information that
learners use comes from resources on the Internet. Teacher can create Webquest using different
programs, but the most common and simple form is to create a word processing document that includes
links to websites.

15. PRODUCTIVITY TOOLS – Are applications that allow for the viewing, creating and modifying of
general office documents.

16. TECHNOLOGY TOOL – An electronic, digital or physical tool that can expand the human ability for
performing tasks or generating products.

17. BLOG – A blog is an informational website published on the World Wide Web consisting of discrete,
often informal diary-style text entries. Posts are typically displayed in reverse chronological order so that
the most recent post appears first, at the top of the web page.

18. WIKI – A wiki is a web-based collaborative platform that enables users to store, create and modify
content in an organized manner. The term comes from the word wiki wiki, which means fast in Hawaiian.

19. FLIPPED CLASSROOM - A flipped classroom is one that focuses on developing student understanding in
class rather than via lectures. Here, the traditional model of a classroom is revised, with homework completed
in a classroom and lectures viewed at home.

20. VLOG – A Vlog is a form of a blog where the medium is video. Vlogs usually combine the video with
supporting text, images, and other resources. People who create vlogs are called vloggers. A vlogger’s
purpose is to create entertaining videos on subjects such as current affairs, social issues, or comic relief.

21. PODCAST – A podcast is a type of digital media, usually audio, that is available in a series of episodes
or parts and is streamed or downloaded by the end user over the Internet. Podcasts can be made
available via a release schedule or uploaded to the Web randomly.

22. GOGGLE CLASSROOM – Google Classroom is a free blended learning platform developed by Google
for educational institutions that aims to simplify creating, distributing, and grading assignments. The
primary purpose of Google Classroom is to streamline the process of sharing files between teachers and
students.

23. FACEBOOK – Facebook is an online social media and social networking service owned by American
technology giant Meta Platforms.Facebook is a big website. It is a digital social platform for
communication. Facebook is open to everyone in the world. To use it, users first need to open an
account with their photo and identity.

24. VOICE OVER INTERNET PROTOCOL (VOIP) – Voice over Internet protocol (or VoIP) is a term used for
a number of protocols that are used to carry voice data over packet switched networks. Before,
telephony used a dedicated line that was only for calls. This was known as PSTN (or “public switched
telephony network”). Using VoIP will reduce costs, as the “dedicated line” for telephony (and fax) is no
longer needed.
