THE EFFECTS OF AIR POLLUTION

Air pollution is the changing composition of the air that is harmful to people.

Recently, air pollution has become a global problem that affects almost every country.

There are two negative effects of air pollution: on human health and on the environment.

The first effect of air pollution is harm to human health. When people are exposed

to high levels of air pollution, it can cause a variety of adverse health outcomes. Because

toxic gases and ash are present in the air, which can discomfort your nose, throat, eyes,

lungs, or skin. As a result, health effects from air pollution include heart disease and lung

cancer, which cause millions of deaths globally each year. More severe impacts affect

people who are already ill. Children, the elderly, and poor people are more susceptible.

Therefore, damage to human health is an effect of air pollution.

The second effect of air pollution is its negative impact on the environment. Acid

rain and the greenhouse effect are the consequences of air pollution, which affect the

environment badly. For example, acid rain damages trees and causes soils and water

bodies to acidify, making the water unsuitable for some fish and other wildlife. And the

greenhouse effect is causing climate change. As a result, ecosystems are changing faster

than plants and animals can adapt, and many species are going extinct. Therefore,

negative environmental effects are an outcome of air pollution.
