This jacket is well made and designed , does what it says on

the tin, the fit is good for me - M- , the fabric is good and
keeps me warm and is comfortable to use , although I have
not yet used it in rain. Three points where it could be
improved ;firstly by an inside zipped pocket ; secondly by
ensuring the arms are somewhat shorter .I am normal size
for M and i have to fold the cuffs to get it comfortable on my
arms. Thirdly it would be good if the zips could be an
alternate colour to the fabric eg red ,so as to hewlp identify
them for quick adjustments .

Not even remotely waterproof. North Face is fashion over

function now. Useless

I saw the many reviews claiming that this is not waterproof

but being a TNF jacket I found them hard to believe… I
bought my jacket in the 2021 half price sale. It was blue, it
had an embroidered logo (most come with the printed logo,
which I hate! I don't like the look of it & it comes off) & was
apparently waterproof so I bought it. I'll be honest, I loved it!
During light drizzle I noticed that I had wet arms & shoulders
but I chalked it up to water running up my sleeve…Unlikely
but I was still giving it the benefit of the doubt. During a hike
up in the hills there was a torrential downpour…I got back to
the car, unzipped the jacket & I was soaked to the skin front
& back. As much as I love the look of the jacket, it had to go
back as it wasn't fit for purpose. It was refunded quibble free.
A year later, I'm still in need of a WP jacket, the half price
sale is on again & scrolling through the site I'm surprised
that these Stratos jackets are still on here! . So I'm posted
my belated feedback.

Purchased and used the jacket twice. On the first occasion it

was a slight drizzle and got slightly wet inside. On second
occasion it rained heavy for about an hour and I was soaked
through. I walk about 10k daily and I bought this because it
said 'waterproof' on the website. Unfortunately it is not ... in
fact it is not remotely waterproof. The jacket looks really
good however ... if you need a jacket that looks good , this is
the one. North Face gave a full refund without any hesitation
... so full marks for customer service. However, if a company
like North Face advertises something as waterproof ... then it
really should be.

Should have read other reviews as this jacket is not

waterproof and am sending it back was offered an exchange
but don't trust the jacket and reading other reviews people
have the same problems out for on hour in drizzle and totally
soaked disapointing as it looks good and is windproof but
sadly not waterproof

GREAT UNTIL RAIN GOT HEAVY

Had this jacket for a few years and is great until it started
raining, unfortunately there was an ingress of water from
main zip. Pit zips worked well and body temp is well
regulated. Still use for Spring and summer use but not if
expecting high amounts of the wet stuff. Pockets are a
decent size and well placed . Cuffs are secured with Velcro
and don't budge or ride up which is great. Arm length is
crazy long but as a result you are not restricted in
movement. Hood isn't stowable which can be frustrating on a
dry windy day.

Looks and feels good but not a good waterproof jacket. Ok in

drizzle but in did not perform well heavy rain or long period
of light rain when on the hills

I bought the Stratos jacket about 4 years back, and after 6

months it stopped being waterproof. I have reproofed it
numerous times since and it remains waterproof for a few
weeks then starts to wet out. When I buy gear I expect it last
for years. I buy goods that I hope will last to minimise my
environmental foot print. Sadly, this coat looks like it will end
up in a landfill soon. I wish North Face had the recycling
facility like Patagonia because when eventually it comes to
the end of its life, you know it will get recycled. A
disappointing product from North Face. I'm surprised by this
because I have a Thermoball hoodie that's as good as new
after 6 years constant use, and a Gotham jacket I have had
for eight years that again had been awesome,

I bought this jacket while on vacation in London. I needed a

new rain shell and also didnt have a coat for a wet week in
england. The features of this coat are great, long pocket
zips, adjustable waist and hood and pit zips. Unfortunately
after about a week the waterproofing seemed to give up. The
coat becomes saturated leaving my body wet after about 30
mins in the rain. I continue to wear this jacket because it
looks and feels great while still being water resistant. It's not
the waterproof option I was looking for however.

I have the Stratos jacket as part of my The North Face

collection and it has been tested several times in the
inclement British weather, recently caught in the remnants of
Storm Ciara in London (10/02/2020), the rain was very
heavy, very windy also the adjustable hood with brim keep
my face warm and dry, on arriving home my upper body was
totally dry not a drop of rain had leaked through onto Easy
Long - Sleeve Top base layer an excellent product from my
point of view, just once example above however, it as
performed as expected each time I have been out in
inclement weather !
