care.
to tests
All necessary instructions (test conditions, handling, cleaning) are
detailed inside the Instruction Manual, and must be respected scru-
pulously; failure to do so could lead to:

❏ erroneous results,

❏ severe damage to the equipment.

■ Systematically check at the beginning of each test that the cell sli-
ding action in its compartment is good.

■ Check that the hooper is correctly filled with grain.

■ Check that the databases are not corrupted.

3. Controls and ■ General recommendations

maintenance For better efficiency of maintenance interventions on the equip-
ment, it is recommended to date, store and keep up-to-date infor-
mation on the equipment life.

■ Cleaning

For optimal working and performances, it is necessary to carry out a

regular cleaning of the equipment.

Cleaning operation Tools/Consumables Periodicity

Sliding cell compartment - Low pressure air gun 1 month

- Sliding cell cleaning accessory

Sliding cell Low pressure air gun 1 month

Sliding cell glass Microfiber tissue 1 month

Hopper Low pressure air gun 1 month

■ Replacing the fuses

If the device doesn't start and after mains supply monitoring, check
the fuses of the INFRANEO.

❏ The fuses are located at the back of the device behind a cover.

❏ Unplug the device, use a small screwdriver to open the fuse hol-
der, and replace the defective fuse(s).

■ Software storage and/or reinstallation

❏ The green USB memory stick enables software data and test run
storage. It is recommended to perform this storage on a regular
basis, in order to prevent any loss or damage of data and previous
results.

❏ The red USB key enables software reinstallation in case of the

mini PC replacement or formatting. It includes a PDF defining the
whole process in detail.

■ TeamViewer Process

CHOPIN Technologies can ask you to configure a TeamViewer

connection for diagnosing and/or fixing problems on your equip-
ment. To configure this connection, refer to corresponding user’s
manual.

■ Lamp(NEOBS50/ES) replacement
The characteristics of the lamp are checked at each self-test. If the
message below appears, proceed to the lamp replacement, ref
NEOBS50/ES (see op. 5-2 p.87).

Note: ■ Periodic actions

USER It is advisable to remind users that a performance monitoring of the

equipment, a "monitoring card" type, is highly recommended.

A periodic monitoring of test results of known products indeed

allows detection of likely excesses, and then be able to pinpoint a
potential fault (handling, test environment or equipment quality).

The following parts have an influence on the test results and it is

advisable to replace them on a regular basis:

Ref TR Ref CHOPIN Description Periodicity User Agent

06202997 NEOBS50/ES Lamp 1 year X

06201830 NEO C6 Vaned rotor 4 Year X

APPROVED TECHNICIAN Besides, it is recommended that users have a complete overhaul of

equipment carried out by a CHOPIN Technologies approved agent
or technician.

Recommended periodicity: 1 year, possibly 2 years in case of low

use

Chapter 2. Troubleshooting

The aim of this chapter is, in case a fault appears, to find the probable origin and to isolate any failed compo-
nent or sub-assembly; the required actions are then detailed.
For any CHOPIN Technologies customer service inquiry, mention the serial number of the equipment.

1. Method ■ Possible failures are classified:

- A. Equipment/Software
- B. Error messages
- C. Other failures.

❏ Other abnormal events may occur: it is then up to the serviceman

to find the solution using analyses and comparisons. Simplified
schematics are provided in section §4. of this chapter, they may
help to locate failures.

Of course, in case of difficulty or doubt, the engineering services of

CHOPIN Technologies are available to try to solve the problem, via
phone, fax or e-mail.

If this fails, the unit will have to be sent back to CHOPIN for in-work-
shop troubleshooting and repair.

■ Before starting any troubleshooting, all useful indications should

be recorded.

❏ In case of abnormal results, the monitoring status inquiry of

results (control card), if there be, can possibly provide an immediate
explanation (e.g. case of permanent excesses).

❏ Regardless of the failure, it is recommended to carefully record

the conditions under which the failure occurred.

❏ In case of a failure occured during test, it would be wiser, when

possible, to keep track of the test results.

2. Fault handling As a general rule, if a failure appears, restart the unit to confirm
the failure.

Any cover removal requires disconnection of the device power sup-

ply.

Follow safe practice if you need to perform operations on powered

equipment without covers.

Chapter 3. Repair

This chapter describes all the corrective maintenance operations authorised by CHOPIN Technologies, which
can be carried out on the INFRANEO (some of these instructions are, in particular, taken from chapter 2
"Troubleshooting").

Spare parts and sub-assemblies shall be selected from the illustrated parts lists of chapter 4 "Spare parts".

1. Introduction 1.1 Warnings

For all operations required to open The power can be switched back ON only once the unit is
the INFRANEO, you must first closed, and all internal parts have been re-installed and re-con-
switch the power OFF, mains cable nected.
disconnected.
Note: An exception should be made for some checks and controls
(supply voltage measurement in particular) as long as all safety pre-
cautions have been taken.

To avoid damage to the INFRANEO, In particular:

carefully follow the instructions in
this manual. ❏ repair operations should be carried out in a clean and dry envi-
ronment, with a complete set of standard tools, in addition to the
special tooling mentioned,

❏ repair operations should be carried out with care, by competent

personnel, with adequate qualifications (see list below),

❏ the only authorised repair operations are those included in this

manual (should an unauthorised repair operation be performed, the
warranty will be void),

❏ use only spare parts and sub-assemblies listed in chapter 4

issued by the original manufacturer,

❏ each procedure shall be completely followed (in particular with

the mentioned tests and checks), and the repair operation carefully
recorded.

Chapter 4. Spare parts

1. Important ■ The illustrated parts lists in this chapter contain the information
necessary for purchasing spare parts and spare sub-assemblies
only.

The lists also include the detailed description of all fasteners that
may need to be replaced, if damaged or lost, when replacing these
spare units.

■ Any further dismantling is to be strongly discouraged, it is then

carried out under the operator’s own responsibility.

It is a fact that, on one hand, repair procedures in chapter 3 do not

cover other spare parts, and on the other hand Chopin Technolo-
gies will never provide other parts than those referenced in these
lists.

2. Notes ■ Fastener-type parts that do not have a Chopin Technologies part

number cannot be purchased from Chopin Technologies, but
directly from a general retailer.

■ Unless otherwise mentioned, all metallic fasteners are stainless

steel-made.

■ All parts having a Chopin Technologies part number must be pur-

chased from Chopin Technologies, or from an authorized agent.

■ When making out a purchase order, take care to mention:

❏ the Chopin Technologies part number,

❏ the necessary quantity (make sure to take into account the mini-
mum quantity per order).
