Lordship

Acts 2:36
36
Let all the house of Israel therefore know for certain that God has made him both Lord
and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified.”

Mga Gawa 2:36

“Kaya't dapat malaman ng buong Israel na itong si Jesus na ipinako ninyo sa krus ay
siyang ginawa ng Diyos na Panginoon at Cristo!”

Pag sinabing Lord ano ang unang naiisip niyo? Or kaya ano satingin niyo ang ibig
sabhin nito? (there are no wrong answers)
Lord – means master.

The one who directs, the one who makes the decisions.
Bago ang lahat, pag tinanong kayo…kapag namatay na kayo (wag muna sana) saan
kayo pupunt?

(sabay niyong sasabhin yung sagot)

Alright! Since clear naman sainyo ang message ng Salvation which is through Jesus
Christ, ang next step para satin ay Lordship of Christ.

This means submission to His Lordship in every area of our lives. Letting Jesus take
control of our lives, dreams, lovelife, family, studies, lahat.
If Jesus is not Lord of all, He is not Lord at all.
Kung hindi mo lang din ibibigay lahat kay Lord, definitely hindi mo siya Lord.
Kaya nga dapat kapag totoong inaccept mo na si Jesus sa puso mo, kasama din dapat
dito ay yung mag papasakop kana sakaniya.
You make Him as your LORD AND SAVIOR.
He is not just our Lord; He is also our Savior. He’s not just our Savior but He is also our
Lord.
Romans 10:9
that if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God
raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
So pag tinanong kayo san kayo mapupunta after this life, ang sagot sa Heaven bakit?
Kasi ligtas kana? Bakit? Kasi you have openly declare that Jesus is Lord.
Na si Hesus na ang master mo! (Salamat master ay iba pala yun)
HINDI BASTA BASTA ANG LORDSHIP
3 characteristics:
1. Lordship demands obedience (repeat)
Kapag sinabi mong Lord mo si Jesus Christ automatic dapat na sumusunod ka
sakaniya.
Hindi mo pedeng sabihin na Jesus is your Lord kung disobedient ka.
Para lang yan sa magulang, masasabi mo bang mahal mo ang magulang mo kung mga
utos nila di mo sinusunod?
In other words, how can you love a person if you’re not doing anything?
Luke 6:46
"Why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I say?”
Lordship demands obedience.
And ito pa! Alam niyo ba na half obedience is disobedience.
Pag sinabi sayo ng nanay mo nak saing kanga, nag magkatol kapa, nag dabog ka pero
ginawa mo parin kahit pilit na pilit ka.
That is still disobedience.
Gusto ni Lord kapag susunod ka sakaniya yung bukal sa loob mo, nakikita niya yung
puso mo eh. Kaya kahit gawin mo yung sinabi ni Lord at napilitan ka lang, that is still
disobedience.
Gusto niya nag oobey tayo willingly.
So again, susunod ka nalang sa utos, gawin mo na willingly. Ikaw nga kapag may
prayer, ginagawan na agad ni Lord ng paraan kung will niya.

Matthew 7:21
"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only
the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
Hindi lahat ng tumatawag sakaniyang Lord ay makakapasok sa heaven pero yung mga
tao lang na ginagawa ang will ni Lord. Yung sumusunod sakaniya.
Again, the Lord demands obedience.

2. Lordship begins in the heart (repeat)

Ngayon making Jesus as your Lord does not necessarily mean susundin mon a lahat
ng set of religious rules and traditions.

Magkaiba ang religion sa relationship with the Lord.

Religion – ito yung set of practices na ginagawa sa simbahan and kapag ito yung drive
mo to go to church, eventually mapapagod din tayo.

Relationship – result of the internal submission of the heart towards Jesus. Na hindi
kana mahihirapan sumunod kasi mahal mo na si Lord. Relationship.

In other words, kapag sinabing Religion – nag oobey ka sa mga rules or practices dahil
satingin mo kapag hindi mo sinunod hindi kana accepted.

Whereas kapag relationship you know that you are accepted by Jesus Christ therefore
hindi kana mahihirapang sumunod.

In other words, MAS MADALING SUMUNOD SA TAONG MAHAL MO.

Nakukuha niyo ba?

So again, Lordship begins in the heart.

Kung totoo na talaga na si Jesus na ang Lord mo sa buhay and that means may
relationship kana with Him, it will eventually manifests. Makikita mon a na may
relationship na ang isang tao kay Lord kung sumusunod nayan willingly.

3. Lordship is a continuous walk (repeat)

Lordship is not having a one-time experience with God, but developing a lifetime walk
with God.

Pang habang buhay na ito. Hanggang sa makatawid tayo sa kabilang buhay. This is a
lifetime walk. Hindi lang ito basta basta na pwede mong kalimutan. Forever na!

At pag sinabing continuous walk, what does that mean? THERE SHOULD BE
CONSISTENCY.

Hindi pede ngayon sasabihin mo sakin Jesus is my Lord tapos bukas balik ka nanamn
sa dati mong buhay.
This is a continuous walk. At yung lakbay na ito hindi madali. Pero ano sabi ni Lord

Tuloy lang kahit mahirap. Tuloy lang kahit minsan di mo naiintindihan ang plano ni Lord.
Pero know that at the end of these things, makikita natin yung paradise.

At yun na ata ang greatest life achievement yung makasama mo si Lord sa heaven.
Walang pag hihirap puro lang papuri at saya.

1. Are there areas in your life that you have not yet submitted to the Lordship of
Jesus Christ? (Be specific)

2. Are your relationships under His Lordship?

3. Are your finances under His Lordship?

4. Is your time submitted to His Lordship?
