The objective of this monitoring activity are as follows: @. ensure that the school canteen actively contributes to the elimination of nutritional deficiencies and the promotion of desirable healthy eating habits for both students and teaching/non- teaching personnel; b. validate transparency and accountability in reporting and accounting of proceeds from the school canteen management and operations; . ensure adherence to standards on quality, handling and serving of food in the school canteen and that food safety standards and hygienic practices are strictly observed and implemented; 4. provide guidance and technical assistance in integrating DepEd policies and guidelines in the school canteen management.
