MAIN FRAME
The main frame consists of the center structure box extended by the wing tip box. These structure boxes
take the bending and torsion aerodynamic loads and transmit them to the fuselage.
The center structure box essentially consists of two spars, nineteen ribs and chemically-machined skin
panels. It forms three fuel tanks; the first tank is located between the joint plate and rib 9, the second
tank between ribs 9 and 16 and the third tank between ribs 17 and 19.
A - Spars
The wing tip boxextends the center structure box from rib 19 to rib 20 (which is also located between the
front spar and the trailing edge).
It consists of :
The rearmost end of the box consists of a machined ledge with cutouts used to discharge the de-icing air.
The section between the front spar, No. X bearing stiffener and false spar is used as a fuel tank.
The wing tip box is provided with a brush for gap-sealing relative to the aileron.
Two doors are provided on the lower surface to seal this box.
