CONCLUSION & RECOMEDATION

CONCLUSION:

The PTCL (Pakistan Telecommunication Company limited) is one of the giant companies in
Pakistan. After doing internship in PTCL I have experienced good knowledge regarding HR
operations, performance Appraisal, Training & Development, Goal Management, Data
Management, SAP working and so on. Each and every task is performed in SAP regarding the
employees. 80% of the work is paperless. It saves the time of company and efficiency is also
created that save the time and the cost for the company and good for environment as well.
The PTCL has large number of employees in every department. It occurred due to technological
advancement. With use of technology the need of employees is reduced, so PTCL separates
employees from its organization. All efforts PTCL takes for to reduce Administration costs. The
PTCL provides time by time training to its employees for to get effective and efficient
employees. PTCL is working well in providing facilities to its customers. Its marketing
department is working for to create awareness regarding different internet and calling packages
provided by PTCL Company. PTCL has launched many programs such as new EVO built in
EVOTAB has launched to increase its customers.

As PTCL is public company so it is facing many problems due to government involvement.


PTCL 26 % shares had been purchased by UAE because of which new policies and procedures
are employed which are facilitating it to earn much and much profit instead of enough
competition in communication industry. I enjoyed much while internship, and learned a lot of
things which will be very help in our academic life and professional life as well.

RECOMMENDATION:
In every year PTCL starts new ventures and services in the country but on the other hand, the
people of Azad Kashmir, and many other Rural Areas are still being neglected. There is a high
potential market for value added services of PTCL in Azad Kashmir and Rural Areas. The
company should start the internet, Pay-card Phone, and Mobile phone services in these areas in
collaboration with private investors.
There exist a huge amount of outstanding bills to be collected by the defaulters. The company
should frame tight and effective policies to ensure the collection of its outstanding bills. The
revenue officers should be provided incentives and bonuses on achieving the determined targets
of revenue collection.

Hundred percent computerization in PTCL would be helpful to save the time and money and
provision of quick services to its valued customers.
Over employment is main and major problem in PTCL. Reduction / Right Sizing in over
employment can give better results. PTCL management should give more emphasis towards
customer satisfaction, delight and retention.
PTCL higher management should adopt a uniform policy for every region.
Finally, PTCL revenue is decreasing due to arrival of market competitors in the country, so the
management should adopt special careful steps to face this competition environment.
