After school Club Activity Report

Activities Conducted: 12

Specifications of activities:

1. Talent Show -
The students presented their individual art through the talent show activity. In this, the
students got an opportunity to perform all the arts like mimicry, singing song, acting/drama,
dance. All the students enjoyed this activity.

2. Sound Around Us-


Sound Around us is a different activity for students. In this, the sounds that we hear
during the day in our surroundings, sound from the kitchen, sound of the vehicles, sound of
animals and birds can create a rhythm by combining it. Even students can make different
sounds by tapping on various utensils.

3. Guess the sound -


In this activity different sounds are heard to the students and the students have to
identify the sound of it. The time limit for this activity is of 1 to 2 minutes. This creates an
interest in voice recognition.

4. Indian Musical Instruments-


In this activity, students learnt the information about Indian musical instruments. They
learnt about name of the instrument, type, sound and playing method of the instruments.
This activity helps students to learn about musical instruments in detail.

5. Antakshari -
Antakshari is a game that has been around for many years. It consists of singing a
song starting with the last letter of a song. Due to this activity, children develop interest in
singing different songs. All the students were singing songs with joy.

6. Rap Song-
Rap song is a new form of singing. In this a story or a good message is sung using
only the rhythm. Many students tried their best to compose rap songs on different topics.
This will surely make them interested in creating new songs.

7. Musical Instruments Around the world-


From this activity, students learnt about famous musical instruments through various
countries around the world. Students understood about its sound and its types. Students
were introduced to new instruments due to this activity.

8. Draw what you hear-


The purpose of the activity is for students to act as 'Listeners' to another 'Speaker”,
practice their listening and critical thinking skills, and try to recreate the drawing/image based
on the 'Speakers' description.
9. Charades-
It is activity of pantomimes, you have to "act out" a phrase without speaking, while the
other members of your team try to guess what the phrase is. The objective is for your team to
guess the phrase as quickly as possible.

10. The Power of Music-


Through music and movement activities, we can help children to explore the world of nature,
especially when we take them outside.
Music Helps Us Heal Music is the best studied of art therapy, and helps to lower anxiety,
depression, trauma, psychosis and stress.

11. Make Music using random objects-


In this activity, music is created using random objects without using the original musical
instrument. Music is made using such objects as can, bottle, mug, chair, table, spoon, pen,
scale, etc. Many students created rhythm very well using such objects and this rythm played along
with the song.

12. Dance forms of India-


Classical Indian Dance is a form of dance that originates from the classical periods of
Indian culture. This type of dance is usually performed in classical music and typically
features elaborate costumes, lavish sets, and dramatic movements.

Classical Indian Dance has been described as a fusion of traditional Indian dance with ballet
and Western theatrical techniques. Its prominent features are hand gestures, facial
expressions, and body movements to communicate story and emotion.

Positive Feedback from Students:


Students have enjoyed all the activities from this club. They got a nice platform to showcase
their musical talent among all the activities.
