    ACTIVITY SHEET

    WATER ROCKETS
    WARNING - ROCKETS SHOULD BE LAUNCHED IN A SUITABLE OPEN AREA.
    PARTICIPANTS MAY GET WET!
    1. Make a card template from the pattern
    sheet and cut around to make 4 fins out
    of correx.

    2. Glue the fins to a plastic bottle.

    3. Fill your bottle about 1/4 full with


    water and push the cork back in.

    Preparing for launch

    4. Connect the bicycle pump to the


    cork and turn your rocket upside down.

    5. Stand back and carefully pump air


    into the bottle.

    YOUR ROCKET SHOULD NOW BE PROPELLED INTO THE AIR.

    WARNING - Do not stand over the rocket.
