Last summer, my family and I were in for a treat. We decided to have a picnic at our favorite park, which
was a beautiful, sunny day.
We arrived early in the morning, and the park was already bustling with activity. Children were playing on
the swings, and families were setting up their picnic spots. We chose a shady area under a big oak tree. As
we settled down, my dad brought out a large picnic basket filled with delicious sandwiches, fresh fruit, and
homemade lemonade. We ate our meal with great enthusiasm.
After lunch, we decided to take a walk along the park's nature trail. Along the way, we saw a colorful
butterfly that caught our attention. My little sister, Jenny, tried to catch it, but it was too quick.
We observed a stream and decided to follow it. It led us to a beautiful pond. There, we saw a family of
ducks swimming peacefully. We threw some breadcrumbs, and the ducks came closer to us.
While we were feeding the ducks, I bet my brother, Mike, that he couldn't skip a stone across the pond. To
our amazement, he succeeded on his first try. We all cheered and clapped for him.
The sun set in the distance, and it was time to pack up and head home. We picked up our picnic area,
ensuring it was cleaner than when we arrived.
On our way home, we talked about the fun we had and all the things we saw at the park that day. It was a
memorable picnic adventure we would cherish for years to come.
