KB Delta scholarship essay

My name is Krishnaveni Puppala, and I’m writing response on why I

have chosen to enter the field statistical analytics, computing and modeling on
concentration of two majors such as statistics and applied mathematics and how
the KB Delta scholarship helpful to support my education. I got admission to
graduate in statistics and mathematics major course in Texas A&M University-
Kingsville in United States. I studied the same majors during my bachelors and
masters also. During my graduation I volunteered as anti-ragging committee
member and I actively participated in cultural activities: I got first prize in literacy
competition, my poetry got selected to print local monthly magazine named
Navamalle Theega and I got third place in writing competition conducted by
ambedker study circle. We work on projects that benefit for certain groups in our
community by collecting data on government funds.

I’m very interested in learning mathematics and statistics concentrated

courses so, I applied to statistical analytics, computing and modeling and I got
admission, and my professional goal is to work as data analyst in agricultural
sector, for this I have chosen the statistics, mathematics as major subject to
compute the data by using different models to solve. We make decisions every
day based on statistics for instance, statistics is used to extract information from
the data on worldwide in the recent in the pandemic. Then statisticians evaluate
the information to draw conclusion. One thing I expect to learn during my college
career is all the information required for my major in statistics. Throughout each
semester, I expect to be more knowledgeable than the previous one. I believe this
program will offer me valuable skills that I can enhance my practical knowledge.

I came from a rural area in Guntur city in India’s AP, and graduated
from a local university. There are many reasons that students just like me wish to
obtain college education. I need to obtain college education for two main
reasons. First, I want to obtain a college education in order to be successful in life.
I feel that I seek a different kind of success. In my family, there have been a few
difficult times that we have gone through. With furthering my education, I felt
that once I have succeeded at reaching the career I desire, I will be able to repay
and provide anything that they will need. In addition not many members of my
family have been able to graduate from college. Having this education will take
my family proud. Secondly, I want to obtain a college of education because I’m
very curious and seek to learn practical skills.

Watching social media, books and learning in school made me even

more curious about designing data in charts and graphs by using different
methods. So I decided to pursue an international education in order to learn more
about the world. Then I applied Texas A&M University to pursue masters in
statistical analytics, computing and modeling. I received an acceptance letter from
university and beginning college from this coming fall is the beginning of
achieving my dream. But, my departmental scholarship deadline had passed
when I applied. I and my family members are decided to support financially to my
study anyway. I came across to know financial source to study expenses. By
searching on university website for some financial support to my tuition fees, I
came to know that the KB Delta was going to select scholarship applicants on all
over the world and it had deadline too, so I’m applying for this. This is a great way
to support students who are in need it will be supportive to my tuition fees, by
providing scholarship to me. Receiving a scholarship is something that would not
be done in vain and would only aid me in being successful in college.

I believe that I meet the criteria that you mentioned in KB Delta

website. To pay my college expenses my family will get benefit financially from
this award, if you select me to provide scholarship, it will helpful as a part of my
tuition fees. I sincerely requesting you to provide me the KB Delta graduation
scholarship to help to pursue masters in statistical analytics, computing and
modeling in Texas A&M University-Kingsville. Hoping that you will encourage my
