Remember me?

EXT. HENLEY HIGHSTREET – (DAY) – LONG SHOT

A rain cloud suddenly appears, grey skies filling the top of

Henley, a traditional British Highstreet lined with coffee
shops and charity shops. Sunlight blocked out leaving a gloomy
dark vibe. Rain droplets fall leaving patterns in the
pavement, puddles form at the edge of every road. The main
character, Isabella, her green denim jacket gets wet, she has
no hood. Her long brown hair soaked with water, rain dripping
down her face. Her mascara is running down smudging her eyes.
Isabella is not the type of girl to care about her appearance.
She has a calm and natural style. She bumps into someone.
(THEY LOCK EYES)
Isabella
I’m so sorry!
I wasn’t watching where I was going.

Arlo

No worries.

Arlo is a tall dark haired boy, he has curls that lay on the
top of his head that sometimes hang in front of his face. His
dark blue trench coat gives him

Both have a confused look on their face. The kind of look

where you recognise something but unsure of where you
recognise it from.

Arlo

Do I know you from somewhere? You feel familiar.

Isabella

I just moved here from London. My names Isabella.

Arlo

Nice to meet you, I’m Arlo. What part of London have you
moved from?

Isabella
Belgravia, it’s in Central London.
Arlo

Oh yes. Know Belgravia, I used to live there when I was a

child.

The rain comes down heavier, interrupting their conversation.

Both Isabella and Arlo are drenched with water. They run to
the Harris + Hoole coffee shop in the high street to avoid any
more rain.

INT. COFFEE SHOP – MEDIUM SHOT

The coffee shop has a rustic feel, bookcases on the wall lined
with many books. Open shelves displaying different types of
coffee granules. Distressed wooden tables giving the place a
weathered look. Smells of caffeine hitting you as you walk
through the door. Black marble coffee tables holding cups and
saucers filled with drinks, embellished with a heart design in
the cream. Paper lantern lights hanging from the ceiling. The
sounds of coffee machines whirring, the pumps of syrup falling
into the cups.

Isabella and Arlo go to the counter to order drinks, Isabella

orders a hot chocolate with marshmallows to warm up while also
fitting her natural and calm style. Arlo however orders a
Vanilla Bean Crème Frappuccino, with a mocha drizzle inside
the cup and topped off with whip cream and cookie crumbles.
This represents his interesting personality and ideals of
wanting to be unique. They sit down in the furthest corner
from the door.

Arlo

So what brings you to Henley?

Isabella

I moved here to be closer to the Henley college.

Arlo

wow really? So do I, what course do you do.

Isabella

I do business studies, I want to own a massive company

and become and entrepreneur. What course are you in?
Arlo

Oh, wow that so cool, I do economics.

Isabella

You must be smart then.

Arlo

Ha ha yes, I need to do something with my brain.

Isabella

Why did you move from Belgravia when you were a child.

Arlo

My father’s job got moved here so we had to pack up

everything and move, it was very hard for me. I had to
leave my childhood best friend behind. Funny enough her
name was Isabella as well.

Isabella

I know how it feels, my childhood best friend moved away,

and it was so hard not seeing him every day.

There was an awkward silence between them

Arlo

What was your childhood best friend like?

Isabella

He was like my twin; we did everything together. One time

we even snuck out to Hyde Park at 5am to watch the
sunrise over the skyline of London.

Arlo suddenly lights up; he remembers doing the same thing

with his childhood best friend. Could Isabella really her he
thinks to himself.

Arlo
Have you got a picture of him?

Isabella pulls out a picture of the two of them. Arlo pulls

out the same photo

(THEY LOOK EYES AGAIN)

Isabella

Arlo? Is it really you?

Arlo

Yes, I’ve been looking for you for so long

A smile appears on his face. His face shows relief. His search
for her was over, he finally found her.

Isabella

I’ve missed you so much.

They both stand up and embrace in a hug that’s been long

overdue.
All the memories came flooding back to her when she smelt his
aftershave, it was like she was brought back to all the times
she hugged him back in Belgravia. His aftershave had a rich
smell, with an ambery vanilla base. Just how she liked it.

Everything became still, everything was calm. The loud talking

from other customers had silenced, everything was peaceful,
everything was perfect.
