LABORATORY 2-1: IPv4 ADDRESSING AND ROUTING

Resource(s): Huawei eNSP simulation software and HCIA-Datacom: Datacom’s Engineers’
Lab Guide (Page 20)

Objectives
i. Learn how to configure an IPv4 on an interface.
ii. Understand the functions and meanings of loopback interfaces
iii.Understand how direct routes are generated.
iv. Learn how to configure static routes and understand the conditions for static routes
to take effect.
v. Learn how to test the connectivity of the network layer by using the ping tool.
vi. Learn how to configure static routes and understand their application scenarios.
Documents Needed for Assessment
1. Laboratory Report
This report must include evidence of the performed laboratory with description of network set-
up, the parameter used, pictures of network design and outputs from network capture and
connectivity.

2. Zipped evidence of eNSP simulation

This must include all evidence of simulations undertaken within the eNSP platform.
