Procedure:
- Turn the main switch on the control cabinet of the machine to the right to position 1.
- Press the reset button under the main switch
- Wait at the control unit of the machine until it is completely started up.
- Press the reset button of the light barrier
- Press the FNext key on the machine control.
- Press the F1 key (reference point)
- Enter the code for step 1 (741) or step 2 (369) and confirm with Enter.
- When the control unit prompts you, press the START key.
Attention: There must be no persons in the safety area of the machine and no material
must obstruct the movement of the axes.
Attention !
Before switching on the machine always make sure that nobody is in the safety area
of the machine.
2 Tool programming
- The left arrow key takes you to the »more parameters« submenu:
The parameter Angle is used for all punches except round punches. This defines the ang-
le of the tool (90°, 45°, 30°, nothing is entered for 0°).
The different tool holders (Trumpf, Amada, edel) can be set with the »socket type« para-
meter. These can be Amada or Trumpf for the CU-Profi.
Attention, for the separating punch the tool holder noble must be programmed !
The Form parameter defines the form of the tool (straight or oblique)
The Tool length parameter, changes automatically when a value is entered in the Regrind
parameter.
The PU Overlap parameter changes automatically with the PU length, nothing needs to be
entered there.
Parameter PU Length: Value greater: The punch moves higher when the machine moves
to the next punching (greater distance between stripper and material)
For a standard tool, the ground value must be entered in the parameter Regrind, see
chapter 6.4. For the ps:®beta-V2® tool, the punch must be adjusted mechanically. It is
essential to observe chapter 3.4.2 !
For the PU X-size and PU Y-size parameters, the diameter must be entered for tools for
the C station and for the and for the Anti-bend tool.
No is entered for the parameter Stripper. This parameter is not required because the
stripper is integrated in the tool.
For the parameters Rotation-Sym and Mirror-Sym the set value must not be changed !
The right or left arrow keys can be used to exit the more parameters submenu again.
> The F5 key: This button takes you directly to a line of the tool list.
(Go to:)
>The F6 key: This button can be used to list tools based on their form.

Now the values for L2 (speed) and L3 (pitch) are entered automatically.
Now the values for length and PU Overlap are entered automatically.
If the depth of the thread is insufficient, increase the value in the Taper line, e.g. 5 mm.
The value in the line „Length“ must not be changed!

3 Tool settings
In the machine :
ATTENTION !!! All tools must be mounted correctly. Punch and die must be mounted
in the same position / angle to each other.
Attention : If a tool with different angles is used, a separate tool must be created in the
tool list for each angle.
1. For the anti-bend tool, the original punch holder, No.: 000
2081, must be exchanged for the punch holder with No.:
000 7578. This is shortened by 5 mm and burnished for
differentiation. It must be shorter because the stripper pla-
te is thicker than on a standard tool. The clamp would
therefore no longer be able to travel under the tool. Stan-
dard punches can still be used in this station.
5. The punches for the anti-bend tool must have the size for 15 mm material, because the
stripper plate is thicker. The maximum material is still only 12 mm.
6. For better results it is possible to put additional adjusting washers unter the die.
(DIN 988 37x47x0,1 - 0,8).
3.3.1 Programming from the tool in the tool list
1 2
It is necessary to change the PU-X Size in the tool list from the anti-bend tool to 51 mm
(half stripper plate + 1 mm safety). Use the key - more parameters (see fig. 1)
The selection from the tool station in the machine must be indicated in the program (see
fig. 2).

ll ground tools are adjusted mechanically for punches and with shims for dies. Dies are
adjusted with shims.
Punch :
The tool must be adjusted so that the punch is about 0.5 - 1 mm behind the stripper.
There is no need to enter the regrind nothing must be entered there !
Dies:
Shims with the reground value must be placed under the ground dies, e.g. 1 mm. If no
shims are used, the material may bend during punching !

This function can be used to change the zero point of the workpiece.
(Caution, however, this also changes the angle of view of the pro-
gramming). Standard is top right (F6, F7)
H) Graphical check: With the F8 key, each change can be checked graphi-
cally.
