Team Debate (4 sessions)

• How rhetorical strategies improve an argument.


• How to spot logical fallacies.
• How to create evidence in debate (statistics, studies, examples, or illustrations. ).
• How to transition from an unfounded claim to logical arguments.
• How to ask questions in order to create a logical chain.
• How to build and develop your argument.
• How to refute any argument.
• Techniques for asking and answering questions.
• How to structure logical analyses and thematic summaries of the discussion.
• Effectively finding, explaining and analysing the Clash.

Collaborative Writing (4 sessions)

A. Persuasive Essay:
• Apply key rhetorical principles for organizing arguments
• Incorporate artistic proofs (ethos, pathos, logos) and inartistic proofs (research and
evidence).
• Respond effectively to audience values, beliefs, objections, and counterarguments.
• Practice crafting persuasive messages in various writing contexts (i.e., strong quality
arguments, emotional rhetoric, short narratives).
• Write coherent and unified texts, including effective introductions, clear claims and
reasons, supporting details, transitions, and strong conclusions.

B. Creative Genres (features and purpose):

poem, short story, speech, recount, letter, diary…
