21 Days
Welcome to the Journey
Facebook Group Bartlesvi!e Southern 21 Days This journal is designed to help you begin an amazing adventure with God. He has made having a relationship with Him so easy. It is us with our hectic schedules that have made this a dicult thing. To start any new habit it takes time and dedication. Over the next 21 days commit to reading Gods word each day and writing a little about what you read. Remember at the end of the 21 days you are not done. You will want to set a knew goal for yourself and enjoy a loving relationship with the Lord.
HOW THIS BOOKLET WORKS There are a few things in here that can help you. On the right hand corner of this page is the Facebook group that you can join to talk with other students about what you have been reading. The exciting thing is that there are other people that are reading the same thing that you are reading everyday. This could make for some fun conversations. On the next page there is a graph that will show you some information about dierent Bible translations. Its important that you have a Bible that you feel comfortable with. Also, you will nd a one year reading plan. For the rst 21 days to start our new habit we will be taking it a little slower. I have cut the reading in half. If you keep following this plan you will read the bible in two years. That would be a great goal for many people. Each day you will want to read the scheduled reading for that day and write about what you have read in the designed spot. These readings are set up for 25 days out of 30 so even if you miss a day or two you are okay. Also, take sometime to join in the conversation and questions that I will be posting on the Facebook Group.

Readability Formal style in modern English but more readable than the King James Version. Expanded and "amplified" by means of a system of brackets and parentheses, which sometimes make for fragmented reading Literal style, but more readable than the King James Version Difficult to read due to 17thcentury English vocabulary and word order Easier word usage, but somewhat choppy because it maintains 17th century sentence structure Contemporary, dignified with generic language in reference to humans an accurate and smooth-reading version in modern English
Example Verse But we will not boast beyond our measure, but within the measure of the sphere which God apportioned to us as a measure, to reach even as far as you. 2 Corinthians 10:13 (NASB) We, on the other hand, will not boast beyond our legitimate province and proper limit, but will keep within the limits [of our commission which] God has allotted us as our measuring line and which reaches and includes even you. 2 Corinthians 10:13 (AMP) But we will not boast beyond limits, but will boast only with regard to the area of influence God assigned to us, to reach even you. 2 Corinthians 10:13 (ESV) But we will not boast of things without our measure, but according to the measure of the rule which God hath distributed to us, a measure to reach even unto you. 2 Corinthians 10:13 (KJV) We, however, will not boast beyond measure, but within the limits of the sphere which God appointed us--a sphere which especially includes you. 2 Corinthians 10:13 (NKJV) We, however, will not boast beyond limits, but will keep within the field that God has assigned to us, to reach out even as far as you. 2 Corinthians 10:13 (NRSV) We, however, will not boast beyond proper limits, but will confine our boasting to the field God has assigned to us, a field that reaches even to you. 2 Corinthians 10:13 (NIV) We, however, will not boast beyond proper limits, but will confine our boasting to the sphere of service God himself has assigned to us, a sphere that also includes you. 2 Corinthians 10:13 (TNIV)

A readable translation; uses But we will not boast of authority we do not have. Our vocabulary and language goal is to stay within the boundaries of God's plan for structures commonly used by the us, and this plan includes our working there with you. 2 average person Corinthians 10:13 (NLT) An easy-to-read, modernlanguage paraphrase We're not, understand, putting ourselves in a league with those who boast that they're our superiors. We wouldn't dare do that. But in all this comparing and grading and competing, the quite miss the point. We aren't making outrageous claims here. We're sticking to the limits of what God has set for us. But there can be no question that those limits reach to and include you. 2 Corinthians 10:13 (The Message) PAGE 2
