Enabling Ownership Management – First Look

Note : This document is just a guideline and gives you quick info on how to enable Ownership
Management. Please review the reference document provided below before proceeding with
actual migration.Ensure proper application backup is available or taken before enabling this.

How to enabling Ownership Management:

Pre-requiste :

1. Enable Intercompany Data and Track Intercompany Elimination features in “Enable Feature”

2. Ownership Management creates new members in “Account Dimension” and “Movement Members”.

a. If existing application has members with Alias as the below list of Accounts or Movement members
then they need to modify it before enable “Ownership Management”. If not this will raise errors
during migration and database refresh

b. If you have any members which are used for the same function as the new preseeded members
then it needs to be deleted.

Steps to “Enable Ownership Management”:

1. New Application

a. Ownership Management requires “Intercompanay Data” and “Track Intercompany Elimination”. So


enable Intercompany Data and Track Intercompany Eliminations

b. Enable Ownership Management


2. Existing Application

a. Application with Intercompany Data : Enabled.

i. Enable “Track Intercompany Elimination”.

ii. Enable Ownership Management


Message after completion

b. Application without Intercompany Data

i. Users cannot enable it in existing Application.

ii. New application needs to be created with Intercompany Data and Track Intercompany
Elimination along with Ownership Management
