example: overcoming obstacles that I was faced with in middle school and high school, specifically
bullying. I moved to a new town where the norms and culture were very different from my previous
home, and i really struggled to fit in. I suffered from 2 years of severe bullying in middle school and once
I entered high school, I had some deep scars that I carried with me and it impacted my social life
tremendously, considering I was even afraid to eat in the lunchroom. I was letting past experiences affect
present day me, and eventually I realized that I cannot live my life in fear that others may judge me or
dislike me. I had to lift my head up and face my fears, and coming end of high school, I had finally started
eating in the lunchroom again, and I was able to block out the negative comments or judgements, and
could finally start living and acting how I wanted.
