SERMON:

WHEN GOD IS WITH YOU

1st June, 2021 – Thank you Jesus

INTRODUCTION

God’s presence is very important in our lives. For God to go with you and I is the most important
collaboration in our life. Thank him that you are saved and you have access to Him.

Exodus 33:14-15-16 The Message (MSG)

GOD said, “My presence will go with you. I’ll see the journey to the end.” Moses said, “If your
presence doesn’t take the lead here, call this trip off right now. How else will it be known that
you’re with me in this, with me and your people? Are you traveling with us or not? How else will
we know that we’re special, I and your people, among all other people on this planet Earth?”

Abraham, Isaac (Gen 26:2) – The Lord appeared.. stay here and do…., and Jacob succeeded far
from their family. Esther, Gideon, Ruth, Daniel, David (1 Samuel 18:14) In everything he did, he had
great success because the Lord was with him.

Joseph succeeded far from his family. In the New Testament – Jesus, Paul, Matthew, all lived well,
but they have GOD. Why is this? What are the reasons:

1) He is the way, truth and life John 14:16 (Way, Truth) Psalm 75:7 (He installs, he raises up)
2) When he is for you, no one can be against you. Rom 8:31 He blesses, no one can curse.
3) He is your greatest ally! The greatest Partner. Psalm 27:1 (Lord is my light), Psalm 23:1
4) He knows you, your past, your present, your future, your playing field. (Isa 46:10) I make
known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, 'My
purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.' Jer 29:11 (For I know the thoughts)
5) He is the covenant keeping God Deut 7:9 9 Know therefore that the Lord your God is God;
he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who
love him and keep his commandments. He cannot fail you! Psalm 37:25 – Since I was
young

Want a better Second Half?

Notice what happens after the first half in a football game? What about before extra time when the
situation is very complex? Remember Brazil Nigeria some years back. You must change your
approach to doing things.

1) Be a stubborn follower of GOD! Stick with Him! Stay in his presence. Grow in him. The devil
will try everything he can to take you out of his presence. Acts 17:18 – In him we love and
move and have our being…..
2) Consciously try to please Him the More. Proverbs 16:7 (When the ways of a man), Heb 1:9 –
Because thou has love righteousness…
3) Show gratitude all the way, Genesis 12:5-7, Genesis 13:18
4) Be conscious of who You are in HIM. Daniel 11:32; 1 John 4:4 – Greater is he

Conclusion

The devil is out to look for us every day. Our best bet is to stay in GOD, thrive, flurous, grow, get
repair and make heaven. Why? The first can become last! The prince can begin to walk with leg;
the blessed can become the cursed (Esau and his descendants Edomites), Genesis 25, 36,
Obadiah 1:1 8), Judas. Do you want to end well? Stop sinning and be a serious Christian.
Prayer Points

1) Every plan for me this year, let me achieve them.

2) I surrender every aspect of my life to you, please intervene.
3) Let the good move to better, the better to best. The bad to great! Let me keep moving
forward.
4) Righteousness and holiness should set me apart going forward.
5) Let me find it easy to please you.
