THE ABDUCTION

IVANOV DORMITEL – DAWN

ZOREN DRAGUNOV, in his fifties (50s), sits in the dark, on the edge of his disheveled
velvet sofa, wearing skinny dark blue maong jeans and a black tee shirt.

He stares down to the ground. He holds a BERETTA 21A BOBCAT.

The political games must end under this government.

God bless our nation and its allies! Our adversary exists.

We are familiar with them. We are aware of their whereabouts.

We are capable of doing it. Why? Are we just watching so passively?

ZOREN, turns the TV off, fists clenched, stares directly at the floor, fidgets his thumbs,
nervous and stoic.

HIS SMART PHONE ALARM BREAKS THE SILENCE. Zoren sighs with his unrested face, He listens
to the phone call, Zoren keeps his composure, listens calmly, then hangs up the phone with
a bang, serious

From behind, he seizes his tactical SWAT vest and puts it on. On the tactical vest's back,
the yellow initials FBI are prominently displayed. In a solemn and prepared manner, Zoren
straightens his waistcoat before grabbing the little photo frame of his late mother and
just staring at it.

He gazes on the window and sees dark cloud approaching his home, he stays pensive, drinks
a full glass of whiskey but still the soberest Zoren he will ever see in the mirror.

“Bring it on, mph” Zoren said with a small smirk on his face while he shivers lightly.

He then looks down to the BERETTA 21A BOBCAT and cocks it with a purpose.

HINKSON CHRISTIAN ACADEMY – DAY

NIKOLAJ, KIERK, DEBORAH, and STEFANO sit on the table in the middle of the garden, sipping
iced tea, delightful and bright, DEBORAH acts happier and quirkier than usual.

Deborah, 18, smiles throughout the picnic, stares with big emphasized doe eyes, noisier
than usual, does acts of service to all the people in the table

Deborah, fixing the mat on the table, preparing the food, mysteriously bangs head on the
table, suddenly faces up to the sky

DEBORAH

(to ALL)

Today is such a wonderful day! The bright sun, the blue sky, the happy smiles, and the
delicious food. What a day, I hope this lasts forever

Stefano’s face lightens up as the mood changes from dull to happy, he smiles brightly with
all his teeth showing, he giggles after a while, he couldn’t control his excitement, he
keeps on being clumsy on all the things he hold

STEFANO

(to Deborah)

Wow Debora! You seem loud today! I mean I don’t mean to hurt your feelings, it’s just, you
never really say a word in school, even on our picnic dates, it’s just nice to see you
comfortable with us. Trust me, you’ll have a blast!

Kierk, 17, weirded out, feels uncomfortable, clenches his fists and shivers with fear,
hugs his backpack tightly

KIERK

(To Deborah)

Yeah Deborah, you seem different today… what have you eaten?

Deborah stares at everyone for 10 seconds straight with the weirdest smile, with the
biggest eyes, Deborah replied with confidence

DEBORAH

(To All)

Guys, do I even have to explain myself to you all? Oh my god let’s just eat the food you
know?! The day is too beautiful let’s just keep the positive vibes going on eh?

NIKOLAJ

(to Deborah)

It seems that Stefano and Kierk all have their fathers in the main gate. Mine can’t go
through because mama and papa both have their business trips outside of the continent, I
kind of miss them now. How about you Deborah, who is going to get your report card.

DEBORAH

(to Nikolaj)

My dad? Uhmm *thinks very hardly but covers it up with a cute facial expression (blowing
cheeks* oh right! He is at home right now; he can’t go because he isn’t really feeling
well today. Oh how sad of me to not have any parents with me here *pouts*

STEFANO

(to Deborah)

*gulps* Uhmm Debora, your dad died right? *shivers and accidentally bites his tongue* In a
car crash right? You almost died too because of the crash. And it made you a huge scar in
your thighs that’s why you always wear pants. To think of it, you’re wearing a skirt now,
but... *points to Debora’s thighs* where is your scar?

Deborah transforms to an otherworldly creature. It wasn’t actually her; it was another
extraterrestrial creature that pretended to be Deborah after killing her. Suddenly her
skin turns green and tentacles grew out of its body. With mucus overflowing her body, the
monster eats all her friendS in a single second.

WELCOME TO THE ALIEN APOCALYPSE

–FIN

CRAFT ESSAY
Hello! Its Sheldon! I sincerely apologize for letting everyone read such an
interstellar and galactic play. Sorry for making your new favorite creative writing piece
though. Jokes aside I wanted everyone to know the story behind making this script. It
wasn’t a stable, consistent line of efforts, it was an intergalactic ride. It took lots of
time and tears for me to finish it and I hope that it was worth it. I hope that everyone
enjoys and appreciates my work, it wasn’t an easy task to do.

Writing dialect is risky, especially if you haven’t lived in the culture you’re
writing about. While a few uncommon spellings and colloquialisms might lend credibility,
dialect shouldn't overpower the narration. Characters can be distinguished by a tick up or
tick down in their dialect. What really matters are how we write about it. A single
phrase, or even a single word can alter the whole mood or setting of a story. That’s how
powerful words are.

Tis was such an amazing experience, I have always been fond of watching the script
version of my favorite movies. And just by reading the stage play script, I could already
feel the heat and intensity. It would be always one of those things that I could never get
tired of watching. It is so interesting and enjoying. I always hoped to make one of these
texts and now, one of my writer self’s dreams has already been fulfilled. Finally,

I have always been so interested in the thought that there might be aliens living
outside of our planet and solar system. I have also overthought the huge possibility that
there are actually living beings except from humans in the first place. Imagine the size
of our universe, our planet is nothing but a pale blue dot that moves endlessly into the
horizons of space. What if they are actually real? What if they are coming towards us?
What if they are already here and we just don’t know it? This is fun!

At first I didn’t really want a really negative story when it comes to aliens.
Somehow most dramas depict aliens as intergalactic hostiles that yearns to invade humanity
and rule over the whole universe. What if these aliens are just like us? Trying to linger
on their curiosity? What if they also have emotional attachments and could even date me?
AHAHA!! But I realized, in the perspective of being a writer, I could be able to express
more in situations that are serious and dark. That’s why I chose to go for the abduction
and being slowly eaten day by day by these intergalactic beings.

The best character that I could think of in this setting is definitely someone who
is European, they just give these very distinct characteristics. They also have these cool
and gnarly names too! It just adds the fun in making a story. They are most likely the
type to face the problem and not just run away from it you know? They have tis main
character vibe, this distinct quality that just screams pride and courageous. Also, I
couldn’t use my usual type of writing where I write myself as a main character. In these
apocalypses, I’m certain that I would just run away from it, and trip, and die.
