Position: Packaging Development Manager

Client company:

Our client is a Food global leading companies, they provide several own brands of foods.
Currently they are seeking a highly talented Packaging R&D Assistant Manager, based at
Nakhonratchsima.

Job Scope:

• Develop packaging both of innovation & renovation of flexi pouch bag as well as
initiative sustainability projects to company
• Focus on both of product and packaging to contribute concept idea for long term in next
3-5 yrs.

Key Accountabilities:

• Lead team on development of packaging innovation & renovation, including packaging

sustainable related project starting from concept to commercialization
• Coordinate with external science research / supplier’s knowledge to seek globally
product trends, consumer lifestyles, breakthrough technology and sustainable
packaging that can be applied to company business’s long-term product portfolio.
• Co-lead with Marketing for Innovation Day by organizing yearly and co-initiate NPD idea
to line up portfolio for all brands.
• Work with R&D (NPD) and Marketing team to build up launch opportunity pipeline and
find opportunity of market trends and initiate idea to R&D (NPD)
• Organize NPD pipeline quarterly session review with Marketing and Management
teams to keep all project on track and ensure of business growth strategy.
• Provide key technical data and solution of packaging innovation & renovation
• Collaborate across function with Marketing, Production, Procurement, and QA on doing
Packaging innovation & renovation projects in cooperate Food Safety and Safety in all
packaging development design through the whole supply chain, here is included scope
of optimization on final product quality, production efficiency, waste and cost
effectiveness.
• Conduct feasibility study of new and/or modification of Packaging, provide drawing,
design, specification and material price for cost study and process optimization.
• Issue Packaging Material Specification and co-ordinate with supplier concerning food
safety information of packaging materials.
• Co-design with Marketing and agency on pre-printing development of artwork, color
proof and incorporate with machine limitation in first design.

• Centralize and ensure correction of artwork design with Marketing, Customer, Suppliers,
Manufacturing, Inter-market Supply, SRA and R&D (NPD) on all new or revision
packaging.
• Providing technical guidance / method related packaging materials to production and
co-manufacturer, support solution to solve problems of packaging quality deviation and
quality improvement.
• Support Procurement and Manufacturing team to evaluate alternative suppliers,
• Prepare technical documents for submission to Group Company, for product approval &
release and other special requests from receiving market.
• Prepare technical documents for endorsement submission to Corporate TQM
• Self-update new packaging news locally and globally.
• Aligned with factory systems (ISO series standard & FSSC)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Food Science, Packaging Technology or related field.

• Has 8 years up experience, Food industry is advantage (Total Years, knowledge)
Special Requirements (Competencies skills)
- Good understanding of food packaging, food nutrition, food processing, and
quality control of food product manufacture.
- Basic knowledge in food regulations and food registration process.
- Basic Knowledge about food safety such as Food allergen, GMP, HACCP,
ISO22000
- Innovative, initiative thinking and data analytical skills.
- Persuasive communication
- Written, listened and oral Proficiency in English.
