STUDENT SKILLS AND SUCCESS EXTERNAL TRANSFER APPLICATIONS

A new Student Skills and Success unit has been established and
structured to empower Maynooth students with the necessary tools
and resources to thrive on their university journey, encompassing
their personal growth, academic success, and professional
endeavours. This holistic offering combines comprehensive
support in three fundamental areas: Student Success and
Engagement, Academic Advisory and Writing Support, and Careers
fulfil their potential
and Employability, empowering students to fulfil
throughout their university experience.
NEW ELECTIVES (10 CREDITS IN SECOND YEAR)
INTRODUCED FOR 2024 INCLUDE:
> The Catalan Language and Culture
> Intensive Introductory Latin
> Introduction to Ancient Greek
> Portuguese Language and Culture
> Wondrous People and Places: An Introduction to Celtic Literature
For advanced entry to second, third and fourth year for September
2024 applications should be made directly to the University’s
Office. Applications to the MH004 BA Early Childhood –
Admissions Office.
Teaching and Learning (Flexible) degree should be made on the CAO

STEM PASSPORT FOR INCLUSION
The University has received funding from Government and industry to
provide a programme to encourage higher participation rates in STEM
subjects to Leaving Certificate and in STEM careers.
Certificate
Holders of Level 6 STEM Passport awards will be eligible to apply
for concessions of up to 60 points for MH304, MH601 and MH602
Engineering and Computer Science degrees. Places will be awarded
on a competitive basis. There is a quota of places in each degree and
the places are awarded based on merit (i.e. points attained).

IMPORTANT DATES
> The University has announced that it intends to offer a General
Nursing degree from September 2025 in response to the call from Event Date
